    Lose my gut before summer?

Okay this is what my gut is now. Do you think It's possible for me to lose this before the summer. I really want to look good for summer. I believe my gut is more loose skin then fat because I lost 60 pounds this year. So I lost 60 pounds since september. I go to the gym 6 times a week and I have a good diet. By gym I mean MMA. I also have Lacrosse practice. So my basic day is 2 hours of Lacrosse then 1 hour of Muay thai an another hour of BJJ. Then after that I lift a few weights, work on abs, and do 8 sets of hill sprints. On friday and sunday I do strength conditioning for a hour. Anything to help please.

    Oh btw

    Fattyyyyy

I think you current exercise will get you fit by summer. 6 times a week for gym is more than the average.

Try to do abs more if you want that fat to go away.

I don't think you should add more exercise, just keep a good diet :)

You want more cardiovascular exercises, and less strength building exercises.

You'll struggle to your gut with one and not the other.
Going to the gym 6x a week is too much, if you can do your workouts like that, it simply means either your not working hard enough, OR your just making it worse.

When you do a workout, if you do a really good one, you'll feel sore the next day. This should be called your 'resting day' you should allow your muscle to rebuild, if you work on this day you'll completely nullify the effect of your previous day and you won't work as hard on that day because you can't.

Workout 3-4 times a week, not consecutive days, but spaced apart.
Do more cardiovascular exercise, running for 30-60 minutes is a good start; you can do this daily.
Ab work outs are good, since you want to lose your gut; try doing weighted sit ups. Grab a 20kilo weight put it on your chest to do sit ups with it, if it's too heavy reduce the weight but this will really make your abs burn after around 15~

Good luck, this will probably take you 8-12 weeks to really reduce your gut and possibly tone your abs.

If you see stretch marks then it most likely is loose skin, applying cocoa butter oil every day can help with that

    Thanks and will do.

I used to get really sore in the beginning of my training. I've been doing MMA for 3 years and the reason I didn't lose weight before was because of my diet and I didn't go all the time. I do get good workouts in and I believe I don't get sore as much because I'm used to it. I do get minor sores though but I still workout with it.

Applying cocoa butter will get rid of the loose skin or stretch marks? Because idc about stretch marks haha but if it will get rid of the loose skin I'd deff use it all the time. But my mom has this special cream for stretch mark so I think I'll use that.

You may not be working out hard enough.

When me and my mates go to the gym, we work out till we CANNOT do another rep. After our work out especially arms or legs, we can really notice a difference.
With arms, it becomes almost impossible to shoot a basketball, with legs, walking up stairs feels very weird.

We rest for 2 days after each workout, going 3x a week to the Gym.

From my knowledge, your muscle breaks down after a good workout, and it actually gets smaller, it takes time to rejuvenate, which is why you need a 'resting' period. After it rejuvenates it comes back, stronger and bigger (hopefully).

However since you want to lose your gut, you should get this feeling when doing Abs, you should notice when you go to sleep and try to turn over it is rather painful, and you can feel your abs burning.

Don't get me wrong diet is important, eating much less fatty foods, and in general less calories, HOWEVER still maintaining a healthy carbohydrate intake to balance your workout will accentuate your weight loss goal.

You may want to try running daily; cross country running and the like. Crunches are also very good to help reduce that loose skin.

HIIT, or High Intensity Interval Training, google it.

If you stay on this method, work until you cant any longer, physically, then rest the next day, then continue, like malakadang said.

That's actually what I do after my classes. Like for example I'd do hill sprints for 8 sets.

    Lose my gut before summer?

running does alot to lose weight, personally in less then a month i took off 30 lbs before joining the military by just every day/every other day, running atleast 2 miles(or doing it on the elliptical in the gym near my house) and doing things like crunches and other ab exercises (the reason i say crunches is because they are better for ur back then sit ups) if i was you i would probably also throw in some pushups and get ur self in a good routine, and keep a calorie count list here is what i mean,

wake up, have something small to start ur day like a grapefruit,
go to the gym or go for ur daily run then work upper body or abs, and every day switch between which one ur working out
do w/e u need to do, and veer away from foods that are heavily processed and junk food or just limit the amount of junk food(especially ones high in sodium) u eat normally, also cutting back on pop(soda) and drinking more water will do u alot of good, if u cut down 500 calories from what your doing daily u will lose about 2 lbs a week-ish NOTE: for the first week u might find yourself gaining a little weight, or staying the same, don't worry this tends to happen

the reason i say do ur workout/run in the morning is it will pump u up for the day and then u don't have to put it off and possible not do it later

(note i did read ur post about how u say u have a good diet and workout and such, i am just giving some of my personal tips)

but yeah it sounds like u have a great workout that you already do, just try limiting down processed foods also veggies! they don't have any bad qualities to them like celery and such and are great for you that can definitely help you

As you said, thats loose skin. You've lost a lot of weight so thats natural. However its a lot harder to lose loose skin like that. Well its not hard, but it takes time. It will go away eventually, but realistically probably not before summer. If you want to minimize its appearance try to gain muscle.

Don't worry about it.. your on the right track. Good job so far.

Disregard most of the information in this thread. You don't need to do cardio at all, although it is helpful. Losing weight is 100% about your diet.

Figure out your caloric maintenace to maintain your current weight and consume less calories than that number. That's it, you will lose weight - THERE IS NO EXCEPTION. If you're not seeing results like this you're doing it wrong (Counting calories, ect.)

In weight loss, the only effect cardio will have is increasing your caloric deficit. Weight training however, will help you maintain your muscle. Losing extreme weight and looking emaciated isn't aesthetic.

Meal timing doesn't matter. Calories do not know what time it is. That's pretty much it.
