What exactly is "suicide" botting?

If I spend the day hours doing typical unbotted activities like Castle Wars and spend the night hours botting at dragons, does this count as suicide botting? Basically if my account is running 24/7 but only botting 12/7? Think there's still a big risk of a ban or Jagroll?

 

no suicide botting is just 100% botting non-stop. Even though you're on your account 24/7 you're still doing legit activities so I wouldn't consider it suicide botting. Besides, play time doesn't mean shit unless they have reason to look into your account like being reported. I've ran bots all day everyday for a month.

And not really a big risk, don't bot in areas with risk of being reported and you'll probably be fine.

However, dont let the name put you off. The chance of getting banned is the same, regardless of time and hrs spent botting.

 

Suicide botting means 24/7. Although, Jagex (most probably) tries to notice any changes in your gameplay, hence you're making yourself more suspicious. Just bot things you'd do legit. E.g., who would keep killing steel dragons for 8 hours, then go to caslte wars for another 8, and then cut magic trees for 8 hours? Most probably only a botter.

 

Jagex will overlook most of this and wait for you to get reported.

Suicide botting is luck on reports, I've been botting for months on my main without a ban for long periods of time. Botting skills in unique places keeps suspicion low, I got 99 rc using graahks, maxed combat in the dusty well and am currently botting dungeoneering.. suicide botting is the way to go haha.

Suicide botting doesn't mean you're actually going to get banned, faster. It's basically the same rate.

 

I would consider your account being online for nearly 24/7 suicide botting as it does raise alarms and most human beings do not play that often for long periods like that.

IMO 24/7 is fine if you do it the way you do. Thats what ive done for 3 months no ban litterally.. Account is 90days old with something like 80days playtime haha. RS Updates ftl..

 

I accept that there is luck involved in whether or not you are banned/re set for botting. But the logic of no difference between 1hr and 20hrs (as the example given) is surely flawed. Surely the person botting for 20hrs would be far more likely to be banned/re set than the one botting for 1hr?

 

The chance of getting banned is more reflected on reports, checking up on bots and smartly using your bots comes into effect too. The logic you provided does make sense, but on RuneScape that's not how they catch people it seems.

 

As stated earlier, 100% botting 24/7 is suicide botting.
