Do you play PVE/PVP/BOTH

What do you roll on Warcraft? my guild is hybrid in the sense of both PVE and PVP, but I tend to stick to mostly the rateds/arenas while sometimes hopping into the raid if they are on an easy cata boss (i.e. Variona).

What playing type do you prefer?

 

Strictly PvP, especially since resil is the best stat for all classes/specs in arena now (no need to snag imba pve gear to get the edge) - its the only challenging part of the game (arena to be more specific). PvE is becoming a bigger and bigger joke with every expansion, content is far from challenging and game mechanics for PvE (and also unfortunately for PvP) are being dumbed down so that "slower" people can compete.

If I ever needed to PvE there are plenty of heroic mode pugs though.

 

I don't PvE anymore. People leaving early and incompetent groups drove me away from it.

 

I used to PvE 24/7 inside of WOTLK, but in cataclysm i've mainly PvP'ed because of the boring, 5 hour long dungeons..

 

PVE and PvP

I pve on my enh shaman / tank/resto druid and pvp as disc.

PVE is getting really boring tho i don't enjoy 20-40 min queues for a 2 hour long dungeon.

 

Rolling PvP now.

 

I used to be a pretty hardcore raider, and only played some PvP. Now a days I barely even play, but when I do it's PvP. I feel PvP is much easier to get into, you can do 10-30 arena games a week in the time it takes to do one raid. It's a lot less strict over all.

 

I play mostly PvP, arenas/duels/open pvp. The server I am on, Tichondrius-US, is one of the top Pvp servers in the world competition-wise. There is always people advertising for arena teams in Stormwind. My Gnome mage, lock and priest all have full 359/365 pvp sets.

The only time I farm Heroics and raid is when I need the rep. Cataclysm content is significantly easier than WOTLK, which was a major letdown in difficulty level.

 

I prefer PvP, but sometimes I need a break from wrecking peoples faces so I do some PvE and just faceroll on my keyboard
