Im pretty sure Silva will beat Okami, just trying to prove that Okami's TTD inst just "good", its pretty damn good.

 

I wasn't saying that at all, I am just saying that Okami isn't well rounded enough. Besides Anderson was hurt against Chael and Chael pissed alien.
Btw, I saw this pic and I love it even though Forrest is my Favorite fighter.

Did Forrest ever think he hit'd Silva at that rate xD. And yes, Okami has his ground-game and wrestling figured out. Now his striking is pretty much horrible but for that jab of his. Marquardt loss only because he was so afraid of being taken down that opening up is impossible.

Yeah. Okami is good, but I don't think he will beat Anderson. Anderson can still sub him, but him training up at Team Quest is great for him.

 

Okami's chin also will be tested fully this fight. Silva will beat him, but i wonder how.

 

Do you guys know where I can watch the very first UFC's? Whenever they show flashbacks they look really entertaining (bare knuckle, sumos vs boxers, guys in crazy outfits, etc). Even saw a guy dressed as Bruce Lee briefly lol

 

The only place I've found some with decent watchable quality was on an awesome private tracker. I just tried logging in a few hours ago but seems like my account got purged as it's been >1 year since my last login.

The only site I go to now (other than frantically searching for live streams or hitting up a bar) only keeps interviews up as a bunch of white knights keep reporting the fight videos and getting them taken down on their respective sites.

 

Sub/Ko/Decision, pick your poison. Okami has a good chin, but it isn't as good as some fighters Anderson has fought.

And the people GsP is training with, just outclasses anyone Shields is working with tbh. Especially Roger Gracie. Next i love how Shields keeps bringing up his jiu Jutsu out, despite not being able to finish or submit guys with a good ground-game. Does Shields know that GsP's fought Bj Penn TWICE and Fitch? That hes also submitted Matt Huges whose submission game is extremely good as well?

Shield's Jiu jutsu is good but is overated imo. He defeated Dan henderson, yeah after he got gassed. but still couldn't submit him despite having mount. if Roger Gracie was the one who had mount on Hendo, Hendo's gone. Anderson Silva submitted Henderson, and his Jiut Jutsu inst all that great. What makes Shield's think his Jiu Jutsu compares to a KO punch?.
Whenever i watch Shields talk, it annoys me when he rambles one thing "my jiu jutsu, my jiu jutsu" Blah Blah Blah, as if we dont know, all You have IS Jiujutsu. When St Pierre talks, he brings out everything, his wrestling, his striking AND his own jiu jutsu.
How about Shield's wrestling? Its not really that great. He controlled Robbie Lawler, great. A Gassed Hendo, great. Got in trouble with Kampmann over and over again, and Kampmann did the most retarded thing by not keeping it standing, but intentionally went to the ground with Shields, Great. Submitted Daley, oh what a suprise?!... not.
Now lets see, GsP, 77% Takedown ability. and 86% takedown defense. how the fuck is Shields gonna get the fight to the ground? Oh yeah.....GsP has not lost a single round since GsP vs Kos #1 and fought Kos(again), Fitch and Bj Penn all great wrestlers. And DESTROYED Alves(whose TTD was extremely good)

3 Days and Shields will get humbled twice in his life. Once by Lidell, once by St Pierre.
I wish Dana would let Alves fight Shields, Alves would destroy Shields. Alve is a technical striker, like Kampmann except with much meaner Muay Thai leg kicks. Shields without his legs will be a fish out of water.

Jake Shields has been undefeated for a while now, so the fight will be a beatdown between the two imo. Should be interesting!

 

Read what i wrote up there and you'll notice why Shields will end up like Hardy. Both talked like they are confident about beating GsP. But both sound like dumbasses without their research, cause if they did research they both would know beating GsP is out of their league.

Kos had a chance VS GsP because Kos actually has a good standup AND good wrestling.

Shields and Hardy are like polar opposites. Shields has wrestling and jiuJutsu, but so many wrestlers have tried and GsP has manhandled them. Now if Shields cant get it to the ground(Okami fight, he couldnt get 1 takedown) hows he gonna spar with a KyoKushin Blackbelt?

Hardy has a standup which is pretty good, now he has no TTD and no jjiuJutsu. So GsP just took him down and manhandled him from there.

I don't think that Shields will end up like Hardy, and I don't think he is done. He got out wrestled by the best at 170, and lost to a Juco wrestling champion . He doesn't have terrible wrestling, but he got out wrestled by a good and a amazing wrestler. And I heard shields was going to bring the viking swords from the video's from earlier in the cage.
Kos has mediocre striking, a good right hand that is it. HE does have very good wrestling though.

You pretty much said what I have said for the last 4 pages He has good jj, but I am unimpressed by his lack of finishes. Couldn't Sub Okami, Condit, Hendo, anything. Daley BJJ is nothing, if Hazelett would have got him to the ground he would have submitted him quick.
Also the 86% Tdd is more like 99% in the last 6-7 fights.
GSP is going to win this comfortably, 50-44
