After life?

what do you think will happen after you die? i dont think the thought is even ponder-able since there is no way of knowing unless we experience it ourself anyway, right?

 

This is true, people fear the unknown; death has not been experienced and told about, though near death has but that is different from literally dying.

Part of me feels like death will be just a blank end. No consiousness and the like; like when a battery runs out of energy.

 

I believe death will be an eternal sleep. No pain to be felt, nothing to do.

 

I believe in heaven, but I have wondered this as well for a while. If there isn't such thing as heaven, when you die are you just dead? In the means your are just in a eternal sleep.

 

We sit in a hole and rot

 

I've wondered about this a lot too.

 

I've also wondered if the feeling of death itself hurts, assuming we hold consciousness in this "after life".

I took a course in University about the meaning of life and stuff like death was usually a hot topic during our discussions. Some scholars believed that there should be no fear in death because we haven't experienced it yet, so we wouldn't know otherwise if it was a bad or good thing.

Others said that just because life is a good thing, death doesn't have to be the opposite of it (bad) and that it should not be treated as such.

Near death experiences are as close as we will get to trying to understand it :s

 

Makes me think of the people who have "seen the Light".

 

Well I pondered on this very question as I watched my grandfather die on the 19th. Now I believe there is a heaven, but what it feels like, I believe it's just your soul leaving and there is no pain of death, just you will never know until it happens. Maybe you will see yourself and go tunnel vision out of your body.

 

You won't know until it happens to you. It's impossible to debate what will happen, seeing as none of us have died here. As for near death experiences, we'll never know if those stories are accurate, or even if those visions occurred while they were clinically dead.

 

We've all been not alive before. Before we were born is going to be the same as after we die.

 

1. I go to heaven and see JESUS -.0
2. I go to HEll and see SATAN >.<

No 1 know what will happen after we die ....

 

i have no clue what i think but ive thought about it alot tho, like probably every person on the earth >.< but it makes sence though that everything goes just black, since there wont be any brain activity after we die but i have no idea what will hapend, and no1 will know until he reaches there but wont be able to go back and tell others

 

I mean, the whole "light" deal is pretty well known though for those who haven't experienced it. I think society has really romanticized the whole "light at the end of the tunnel" deal and because of this, it possibly is giving us the wrong interpretation of that a near death experience really is.

 

In this discussion, I won't discredit religion for their belief of "eternal life". It hasn't been proven or dis-proven. However, I believe people will believe something because they want it to be true or they are afraid it is true.

Such as, if you do not worship Jesus Christ you will go to hell. People will believe this because they are afraid it is true. Or, if you worship Jesus Christ you will be given eternal life. People will believe this because they want it to be true.

Personally, I believe that if we all live an honest hard-working life we will all flourish and be given another life. How this "other" life will be presented to use none will ever know. But, I also believe if you choose to be wicked and sit among the greedy then you will simply cease to exist and the essence or energy or your "soul" if you will could be passed on to another species to live among.

If there is an after-life whether or not you believe in it or not. It will be there. There is no possible way to prove that here is or isn't. I think, personally, that is futile to ask questions or to ask other people if they believe in it because, there is no way to make yourself in anyway more confident that you will be able to experience it. Everyone has a different perspective on the after-life. No one will ever see it the same.

 

Has anyone ever thought that we're in our after life now?

Reincarnation?

No clue, or maybe when we die we get reborn as the same person and it's on loop ? Or maybe each time we die we get reborn into someone else (from our current view of point)?

I don't know, and I don't think we ever will know to be honest.

We can only imagine.

 

i thought about this life is all a dream. and when we die, we will wake up in the real life, and so on. kinda crazy
