How can I turn off particular sounds? (or sprites)

(EDIT: I NEED THE SOUNDS ON to know what is happening ingame. I, of course, turn off both music and environment, but I need the sound ON. It tells me when NPCs are no longer aggressive or my health is too low (heartbeat). It tells me when I mined an ore (while watching another window) or my character stopped fishing.)

OK this is the problem: I hate to unplug the headphones because the barbarian girls embarrass me in front of grown ups with their Ahhhs, and Uhhhhs.

Skeletons' ehhhh, ehhhh drive me nuts, too!

Also, I would like to disable the models for trees around falador. They make all my computers lag (yeah, they are crap, but they are my crap) I have seen my client (official client) load white trees before loading the complex models, so I know its somehow possible.

Do you know which files i should edit/which client allows me to do this?

 

play rs in safe mode, not sure if it'll fix but its possible

If I didnt, I would gladly turn it off. What I need is to switch off/disable those sounds I dont need

(alex trebek, the barbarian girls, and female forgotten warriors, seem like they are enjoying their ride.... ppl tend to think I'm watching something hot, and comment later :/)
