To believe this email, or not?

Update: Nope, nevermind :] It says Runescape.pa.com

Recently (VERY recent) just got this email from "Jagex" It looks very legit especially the copyright at the bottom, but I'm not completely sure whether to believe it or not.

 

I've gotten these and I know for a fact someone is sending reports to recover one of my noob accounts lol.

I never actually click them though and I wouldn't advise it even if it's legit to be honest.
If you have an email address registered then you know it's fake.

 

Clicking it would do nothing, but logging in would. I checked the link after I clicked it, and it's not Runescape's real website, it brings you to Runescape.pa.com

 

Hover over the link. Pay attention to the important key details of it.

the .com should end with something like .pa or so.

or it could be Services-runescape instead of Services.runescape

Just look carefully.

Next to reply, if you press the arrow down, lots of the time it'll give you the email of the true sender.

I just got one of those today to. The first one out of over 100 that actually got into my Inbox instead of JunkMail.

 

Another way is, did you actual send a recovery form in? -.-

 

Anyone could be trying to send a recovery form in trying to steal one of my accounts. Lol

 

i always get these to my email that i use for sythe, but the thing is i have no rs account registered to it

 

I got that too, it got past my spam filter some how

 

Got the same thing about an hr ago, I didn't click it tho.

I just check if it's legit by the green box beside it on my broswer if it's green= real.

i stupidly fell for one of these last night, hacked 3 of my accounts, luckily he couldnt get into my 420m bank, he was pming my friends list demanding my bank pin or else he would ban the account

got the accounts back in 30 minutes flat, all i lost was 3m on a miner

moral of the story:

always double check its real before you click it, where it has the link to the "official runescape website" right click it, copy location, paste into your browser but dont hit enter, and you'll see its a fake link that re-directs you to a pretend runescape login page.
