i was wondering if the range guild lure still works?

 

What is/was the range guild lure?

 

"The Ranging Guild Lure is a lure that does not involve going into the wilderness. It involves a player persuading another player to come to the Ranging Guild. Some examples are selling things, and drop parties. It usually involves the victim bringing an amount of cash. The lurer tells the victim to come up into the tower in the guild. When the lurer and victim come up, the lurer will put on protect from range, while the victim, unaware of the dangers up there, will supposedly not have enough time to react before he/she dies, and loses all but 3 items, including the cash he/she brought. This lure does not work anymore due to the warnings that are put up when attempting to climb the ranging guild tower."
