Donations through Ultimate GameCards?

Ultimate GameCards or Upgrades pins can be used to make donations, and maybe some scythe should open a shop on forums selling all the pins they received through this payment method.

 

Your upgrade plan will not work well. After donating, someone can easily put the upgrade code on an account. If you make them wait until after it sells, they can chargeback, and it will be too big of an hassle.

Charging back isn't an issue with donations. If the person charges back they instantly get banned with Sythe not losing anything.

 

Even though this is true i think the way to make it work would be if it was like a 3 way trade all happening at once (Donator, Mod,Pin Buyer) . The donator gives mod the pin, the mod gives the pin to the buyer.

Also as toast said above.. you will just get banned... anyone that is serious about donating isn't really looking to scam 5-10 dollars, just to get banned

 

It would be too much of a hassle to keep track of pins and knowing if they are legit or not. Do not support.

 

Although this is true the downside is, the person who bought the pin from the staff that was selling the donations will now have negative credit thus being the victim of this scam.

There are many possible donation methods that would involve donating something to sythe that could be resold for sythe's profit. The problem is that someone must manage this shop efficiently. Similar to the rsgp donation method that was open temporarily, this method is not possible once there is no one to manage the shop.

I support as many new donation methods as possible, but unless a moderator decides to take on the responsibilities of the new donation method, it will not become available.

While still a possibility in the future, I feel that it is more important for the moderators to focus on site maintenance right now rather than alternative donation methods.
