Do the high ranked players either bot or have no life?

I was looking at stats of some of the top players... right now Telmomarques is rank 1.... and he has 7 skills that are maxed out with 200,000,000 xp... How the hell does he have the time to do that, especially dungoneering...

Do these idiots have extremely complex bots that play for them? I doubt they would spend their life playing a game just to be rank 1...

 

They all have no life/lots of spare time for whatever reasons and they know how to play efficiently meaning they know what they want and exactly how they want it. (Skills/Money/etc.)

 

I am friends with Jdela/Paperbag/Telmo -- they don't bot, they simply use their time efficiently and have been merching for years and have enough money to have stored 200m xp on all buyable stats.

 

dey must play like 10-15 hours a day to do dat much xp in a day efficiently right?

 

Yeah I've known Jeremy (Jdel) for a few years now. He's such an insane merch lol.

He went to the top relatively fast as well, I remember when he had a massive 99 party on Karamja getting heaps of 99's in a row.

 

yea thats how i pretty much lvl my stats, through money..

I guess the key to getting ranked is having a shitload of rsgp money(Bils and Bils), having intermediate mathematics skills, and have a load of spare time...(college)

 

i know rank 10. he has a gf, runs a clan, goes to college sounds like a sweet life to me i suppose :laugh: but idk him irl but i know i live in same state as him. anyways ye hes cool

 

i know a couple top players , while i agree they do merch and have like 10-20B banks, some play over 15 hours a day.

 

I don't think anyone in the top 50s bots, they have decent ways of making money and a lot of em are on majority of the day. I knew one guy "FinallyOnTop" and honestly I never seen him log off while I was on but I think their first place got robbed by some1 else lol

 

They probably are like 30+ irl that just have been playing since Runescape came out lol

 

FinallyOnTop was Jdelacroix(he has since changed his name back), and he just got passed like a day or two ago.

 

I've played rs since it came out and I'm nowhere near where they are. If you think about it to just stay in the top 10 is a challenge and probably adds more fun for them. Currently i'm competing with somebody for rank 55, 000 o.o at most of our highscore ranks we have no reason to really play 15 hours a day. A lot of the top players also don't care about holding gp they just get maxed exp even if it costs their banks

yea i haven't been on my main for awhile so i don't know if he changed his name but he was a cool guy to talk to, and I didn't add his previous name I just met him at corp lol

 

Experience is the key, it's not time they have anymore it's how they use their time efficiently.

 

yeah they have the same philosophy as me xp>money

 

No offence to paper but he really does fit the profile of a no life. He frequents w91 (my home world) and while he was going for 200m craft exp I would see him on in the morning, come back later and he'd be in the same spot talking to the same people he was 10ish hours ago.

 

Motivation is king for them. If they only used those skills for something actually productive, imagine how far they would get..

 

Take any population the size of Runescape's playerbase and you'll have a few individuals who have so much free time/such a mundane job that they are able to spend inordinate amounts of time playing the game.

There's no need for them to bot.

 

Or they have been playing RuneScape for five - six years.
