Bringing familiars into PVP, on a pure?

So, I see a lot of obvious 1/20/30 defence pures bringing familiars into PVP, even the ones that give defence xp.

I have 50 summoning on my 1 defence pure, and I'd really like to bring the bull ant into PVP since when you PK at 1 def you lose food very quickly, especially when you're hybridding a familiar is pretty much a necessity. I'm just wondering how people prevent familiars from giving any defence xp? I really like seeing ''0 defence xp'', so yeah.

 

if you're not in multi it won't hit anyone

 

you should get 52 for a terrorbird, but as G I R said, as long as you are not in multi you should be fine. you can also bring them into multi with the option to not retaliate/attack

 

Either just never go into multi, or simply call off your familiar by setting the right click option as call

 

Just go to multi zone.

 

Can auto retaliate for it be turned off?
