Can someone take your original rsn?

If I were to change my name in runescape for a month + ( i think the week) it takes for someone else to take my previous name,

could someone take the name of my LOGIN username to login to runescape?

 

Never thought of that, I don't think that would be possible though. Do you know if you can use the same email address to make an account?

 

someone took my login name for a display name, however they dont use it to login.

 

I believe after a while they release the name out in the open so anyone can take it.

 

first time you change you name it takes like 3 months to release it if i remember correctly.
after that each name is 1 month

 

No it's 28 days + 7 days to change back or a completely different name.

And yes someone can take your login name, but only to use as their display name. It's not like they're taking your name to login with.

I've done it before whenever ever name changes first came out, but I think they have patched it to where you can't now but I'm not really sure.

I don't think that's possible, since your login name remains the same.

Yeah Someone took my previous Name [Nass kid] and my old Display name.
