VPSes for botting - Talk about them here!

Mine are at 1000 also, when they are up they stay up just takes 5-6 attemps sometimes which is really annoying..

 

Push global settings to the far left. I've had my clients crash a few times when they were set to the right.

 

I'll try this. I do actually let a few clients load up with globals all the way to the right, but I don't know if those are the clients that are closing or not.

I always have my globals set to the left as I can only run 3 max bots on my VPS and I have some spare CPU so it makes no difference to me.

 

Settings to left = win.

So many more bots can be ran.

 

Actually it's the other way around.

With settings to the right it decreases CPU usage, thus allowing you to run more bots.

I suggest you move all global settings to the left and leave the client page on the "Global Settings" page, you will find that the CPU usage will be slightly higher but it will allow your clients to be more stable.

 

I need help! I just bought SeerVPS silver package but I'm having some issue. I'm only able to open one nexus client. Do I really have to buy auths for every single account if I want to run more than one on here?

 

I would do that, but the problem is I am maxing out my VPS so I need them to the right so I don't go over my resources.

It's definitely worth the investment...the client uses more RAM than a single bot.

I'm on my VPS but I can't get NeXus to open :S

It's already installed, I already changed everything that needed to be, I can't open up the installer or the actual bot client.

 

try opening console and typing:
cd Desktop/NeXus (if the bot is installed in that folder)
sh run-linux.sh





I'm having the client closing on my dedicated server. It's not a photon, so I really don't think its provider end making these clients shut down.

 

Alright, so i'm a hardcore botter. I have a quad-screen set up to a custom pc that i bought, and i also bought on my laptop. I can bot around 30 bots. I want to sell my computer set up. So if i'm looking to bot 10-20 bots, which VPS and package should i get? I'm looking at Seerhost and PhotonVPS.

Like anything, they both have their pros and cons. I'll list some pros and cons for Photon as I have no experience with Seer.

Also, for 10-20 bots you will need more than 1 VPS. Depending on the bot. If you are running strictly sorc gardens then it will take 2 Warp 4's, which would allow you to run 16 bots.

Pros:
VERY high quality
Their customer service is getting much better

Cons:
Pricey (Harly even a con as Photon is ALWAYS up.)
Clients close randomly (Although I am not sure if this is strictly a Photon problem, however it does not happen with another VPS provider I use nor or my own PC.)

Okay I'm going to try to get a refund from Seerhost, I doubt they'll help me with the above problem about 2 posts above this.

Does anybody know any reputable VPS companies? (Besides Seerhost or Photon as I hear they will cut your VPS if you play Runescape or whatever)

 

Lets say i wanted to run 20 flax bots. Wouldn't one 3 warp be sufficient since it has 8 cores with 2gb of ram? My computer is a quad core with 4 gb of ram, and it runs 16 bots.

 

Are you sure it is not a typo error in the run-linux.sh perhaps you forgot a space. I find it's always the simple things a re-install will be short but might be worth it.

Does not work like that, your Home computer has full access to cores and resources. A VPS has limited access to resources, hence the term shared resources. You can fit any amount of VPS into your cores but make sure the CPU can handle it, so it's best to use dual-cpu hex-core's for that type of set up so everyone gets juice...get it? Dumb providers can stick massive amounts of VPS into these cores, which is called overselling, that's when the clients suffer. I could be wrong or off by a bit I am not no computer expert by far just a botter myself.

4GB RAM = 16 bots
2GB RAM = 20 bots???

You want to run 4 more bots on half the RAM. Not going to happen. I know RAM isn't everything, but you'll run out of RAM WAY before 20 bots.
