Obby Mauler - Where to go next?

Hey guys,

Growing closer to completing this Obby Mauler, and have been having tons of fun pking and training him. Now that his stats are getting high, where should I take it?

I'll start by listing my current stats here:

5 Attack
98 Strength (99 later this afternoon)
1 Defense
1 Prayer
51 Mage
66 Range
70 HP
99 Fletch (Only took 5 days and I like having a Skill Cape )

51 Combat

My immediate focus is finishing gathering the ~40 zeals I need for 99 Strength. After that however, I'm strongly considering getting 31 prayer. Also, I believe I can get 70 range and mage without a Combat level, so I'll probably work on that too.

Pros to 31 Pray :
-Super Human Strength
-Protect Item (I can pk in Zerker and get more fights without worrying about risking it)
-Increased Accuracy Prayers

Cons to 31 Pray :
-Loss of Combat Levels that could be used for HP

Opinions on that?
If I end up going through with it, I'll do Priest in Peril and the quest for Ava's, then bones for the rest. That way, if I decide to go 20 attack for CSWH later, or 50 for Granite, I'll be ready for DT.

 

Well if you'd like to stay 1 Prayer you can't do DT as that would get you 11 Prayer.

If I were you I'd keep on Mauling and get to 90+ Strength, then if you get bored just casually get Attack up and stop at 20 (If you can afford Corrupt Weapons), 40 (F2P Pking), 50 (Granite Maul), and finally 60.

 

I'm indifferent about prayer. I definitely feel like ancients are worth the 1 cb level that the prayer gives. Also, I have a hard time justifying the cost of Corrupts at that low of a cb level. I have difficulty finding stakes that would make up the cost of 15 mins of fighting.

 

Either attack 1 or 60. Go for the DT quest anyways. Ancients + claws / maul = ftw.

 

screw 50/60 attack. Get kiko's godly script and go for 80.

 

I'm not really interested in getting 80 though. Cba to get 80 dung for Rapier.

 

I like granite maul + ancient rushing a lot better than claw rushing. D bow rushing with ancients isn't bad either.

 

Either stay like this, or go for 60 att and DT. Do mage 82 and then rush + d claw 'em.

 

gmaul rushing is way to deadly if your hp is not above 75 trust me... i have died countless times...

Current stats:

Attack : 5 (I don't regret this at all, so much more accurate than 1, at the cost of only 1 combat level)
Strength : 83
Defense : 1
Prayer : 1
Range : 53
Mage : 20 (I'll get around to it...)
Hp : 66
Combat : 45

Spent the past few days going between botting SW and pking a bit. Great K0's every time I go out pking. Think I'm gonna stick with 5 attack until I get to at least 90 str, then decide what to do from there.

 

Looks like a sick account. I'd definitely recommend getting the strength up. If all possible, get 99 strength and you'd be invincible.

 

What kind of loots do you get at level 45 combat? Considering new wildy has been out

Nah, I haven't started vidding yet. I figure I'll give it a try once I hit 87 or 90 or so strength. Once I get a few more decent pk's in, I'll be willing to skull with zerker a bit more (More money), and then my fights will be more frequent and interesting.

I don't screenshot any k0's, or vid at all, because I don't think it's very impressive. If you want a screenshot of bank, I can provide that. Doesn't really do you any good though, because I could have just as easily bought the gold.

I guess I'll start screenshotting today when I go pk, for all the nonbelievers.

Realized I can't get ancients and stay obby, due to the att you get from pre-reqs. Oh well.
