So I just got hacked..

Don't know how the fuck I got hacked, but I'm pretty pissed off about it. Just reached level 85, lost 8k gold, and they took off all my gear so now I'm going to have to go get quest reward equipment so I can fucking start getting gear back. And to top it off, I really don't know how to unlock my account tbh. I already changed the password.

 

Just ticket a GM you got hacked, they recover everything you lost, and most GMs seem dumb and give you something extra.

It takes anywhere from 2-7 days.

 

How do I do that? And it could be a week before my account is unlocked?

Ohh your account is locked....

Check your e-mail and see what it says, should give you instructions.

Also call blizzard, they'll probably ask you to send some sort of ID to them (like scan a passport or something)

Nice fiddle. You shouldn't "hope" to get hacked, but more often then not your account was a mule and they transfered over gold and you end up getting your account with a couple thousand more worth in items then you had before.

I've heard some crazy stories on this on MMO-Champion where someone gets hacked, recovers their account with like an extra 100k and their bank loaded with stacks of enchanting mats, frost orbs and gems.

 

Blizzard actually takes care of its gamers unlike some other game I know..

Verts said that in her guild, the officer or something got hacked, stole all the guild money and shit, and when they recovered the account, they gave the gold back to the account and the gbank (double the gold) or something like that.

 

Exactly that. Pretty much all the valuables had been taken from the guild bank and vendored (or deleted) and the officer that had been hacked was refunded the value of the items stolen from the gbank AS WELL as the gbank being fully restocked with gold and items.

 

Thats Good that you got your stuff back. Does the hacker keep your gear or is it taken from him?
Hope he gets everything taken from him.

Yeah i've had my stuff recovered in the past too, use an authenticator! it's so easy with the app for ipod/iphone or even android now I believe
