My Epic Story

So this is the story of how I am going to get back my maxed account with over 1B on it.

There are going to be many words so if you dont like that, save you "tl'dr" comments and just leave now ^^

Back in January I bought an account from a sight known as Accountrs.com. The account was for $580. I purchased it as it was everything i wanted my RS account to have, including 99 summ, 89 dung, 96 herb etc.

I got the account, got the password logged on, everything was working and i was really happy. Did a couple runs of bandos with packyak which i was never able to do before.

The next day i try to log on again and the password doesn't work, so i go to talk to there live chat and they tell me that they changed the password and gave me the new one, i asked why they changed it and they said they dont know. I'm like ok w/e as long as i have the account. At this time i also requested all the information about the account (old passwords, recoveries etc.) and it was given to me.

Ok long story short, the password ended up getting changed 3 more times over 2 days and the final time i wasn't given the new password. I sent many appeals in and non got accepted. I talked to every one of there managers and emailed everyone of there email addresses and it was clear i was getting ignored.

So realising that there is nothing i could do i gave up....

YESTERDAY, i came across a "How to Recover a Runescape Account" (link: http://www.powerbot.org/vb/showthread.php?t=400341) guide on another forums, and not believing it would work, i gave it a try on a old account i had given away many years ago, and surprisingly it worked!

Then i came across the idea of recovering the account i bought from Accountrs... Now here is where it gets good.

I bought this account for a reason that i have not previously mentioned. This account was claimed to have been completely trained by the gamer of the company i purchased it from. And me thinking this made it safer, encouraged me to buy it.

Another thing i didn't previously mention. The account had 600m gold on it, the majority of which was invested in cannonballs (80k) and other gear i later discovered was required for killing frost dragons. Taking a look at the account adventure log i found that all the account did was kill frost dragons...

So i thought, could it be true? I had the information for the account that a runescape gold selling company used to farm all there gold!!!

It has been over 3 months since i purchased it so in that time if all it did was kill frost dragons (as it says in its adventure log), then it must have Billions! Assuming that not ALL of it has been sold...

Now today i began sending in stolen password recovery attempts to Jagex. I went from being declined because practically everything was wrong, to being declined only because of creation details.

And according the guide i read this means that it is due to the fact that the appeal is being sent from a different location then that which the account was created, So all that is required now is the correct proxy.

I shall keep you posted, Sythe. Wish me luck on recovering an account with 1B+ wealth ^^

Some notes:
- the website mentioned, Accountrs.com is half legitimate, it will give you the account if you pay for it, but if that account gets recovered back then you have NO CHANCE of them helping you. The customer service SUCKS! and also 9/10 the accounts do get recovered by original seller within a month or 2 when they can't dispute with paypal anymore...

 

you should have just charged back the money and reported it as fraud...

Forgot to mention that the payment was paid through Western Union and so a charge back was not possible.

wow, nice storry man, that sucks you are baisically out of $580 though.

 

My guess is that they'ld probably transfer the money over to other accounts instead of keeping it all on one - I could be wrong though.

 

NEVER trust Account selling websites..

I don't think they actually keep the gp on their farming accounts, they usually sell it or they transfer it but I would definitely report it as online fraud

 

Well they must keep there gp on one account, most likely a high level account that they will have no trouble recovering, so why not this one? I jsut want to get on it for liek 10 mins, xfer to a mule and get off ^^

yeah you should of done this immeditally. fuck those websites. goodluck on recovering your acc if u get it back i would trade everything to another acc.

i read through that guide and it reminded me of my 2005 pure so im gonna try and recover it it was a shit account though but yeah id love it back

and finally, if anyone bought an account from gold for rs their standard recovery question answers used to be ss1 ss2 ss3 ss4 and ss5 not sure if they stil use them though

That sucks. You should never trust them.

 

Yeah, don't trust any websites like gold4rs etc...
But good luck on getting your account back and hopefully it does have 1B+

 

Once you get the account back, loot all the stuff, transfer to your own account, leave the hacked one in deep wilderness with no run energy and home teleport already used up, and fill the notes section with abuse.
That's what I'd do, but it's up to you. Hope you get it back!
