Yeah I'll now turn to OMM but some are interested in RSGP for fees when I don't have any that's the problem.

Vouches are only indicators of trust if you can verify the trade actually occurred. I do keep in mind post count and more critically join date when contemplating whether to trust someone. You all would be surprised to the lengths some newer people go to make fake vouches look legitimate. At the same time, I don't mean to patronize newer, involved members or simply newer members in general. A good number of them are legitimate.

The majority of those accounts have been hijacked and are being used to scam by a few individuals, unfortunately. It's not the original owners.

If anyone here bases their trust over post count and join date, they need to get a headcheck.

I have dec 2010 join, with like 1800 posts.

I'm active, doesn't mean I'm trustworthy. (However, I do have 129 vouches or somethin)

Join date means something to me when it's 3+ years, but they must have been active for it to mean something. They've been here for a long time and haven't been banned, shouldn't that stand for something?

Vouches definitely outweigh that as someone said above.

If someone has 1000 posts and a join date of Feb 07 with 0 vouches you're gonna trust them more than someone who has 12 posts and a join date of April 11, so at the end of the day it does matter to a certain extent.

    Vouches come first though, definitely

No matter what you say about vouches being more important than join date and post count, people will still trust someone with alot of posts and a past join date. The effort that you put into putting into the community and managing to "keep your nose clean" certainly means something more than a few vouches.

I'm on and off with posting, I mostly just peruse and have been doing that for 4 years but I think join date means nothing, and post count means less with the exception of Mods/Admin. So the scale goes Vouches > Join Date > Post Count.

But if you have 380+ vouches and 1k+ posts. I bet that vouches weighs more then the post. IMO though.

I'm starting to trade with trusted only now. Got chargebacked , scammed 20M today.

to me the order of importancy is like:
    -vouches(most important)
    -join date
    -post count(least important)

To me post count doesnt mean anything as anyone can join and have 1k posts in a month from just spamming shit. Join date i think matters somewhat ONLY IF you have a decent post count and/or vouches as it shows youv known the site for a while.
And then vouches are just yea, the most proof of how trustworthy someone is on this site.

I could care less about post count unless it was over 7,500.

I also don't care how many vouches you have. It's the quality of the vouches that matters. I'd go first to a guy with only 1 vouch when a guy went first to him for over 350 dollars than a guy with 40 vouches all totaling less than 10 dollars a piece.

Join date helps a lot though.

Well I do sometimes check on what thing does a new guy with tons of posts , post on. It's quite interesting to check it out sometimes.

Haha I made a thread like this that was 12 pages long...This is a verry debatable subject but in the end most say that vouches > Join Date > Post count.

Never judge by join date or posts alone vouches are a good measure yet you should check their quality. 100 vouches for free skill training says little imo. Also use your judgment when talking to people!

I like how it's always the new people who complain about people caring about posts/join date.

I do take it into account when trading as I feel statistics like these show how much the person cares about their place in the community.
