Sythe Ventrilo

The reason it fails is because it doesn't stay up all the time if it did it would get regulars and such. Im willing to donate a server if a few of you would use it.

What you guy's reckon?

 

Didn't know we'd had a Ventrilo in the first place.

Maybe it needs more advertising?

 

Eh you guys dont currently have one that I know of, I just read some other threads about it before that's why I said "the reason it fails".

 

There is no current official Ventrilo server and I don't think there are plans for one returning again. It's been tried multiple times in the past (a recent ventrilo venture didn't pick up, too) and failed miserably. You can always expect the same cycle of activity, it always ends up dead. Although, if you want to make your own unofficial server then by all means go ahead.

 

A few years back when Enlighten me had that ventrilo up it went pretty well..

People have been banned in the past for knowing too much about events which transpired several years ago.

Whenever someone comes and speaks of things which happened a long time ago in such a candid manner, there is the possibility of their being a vader.
Please realize that I wasn't accusing you or challenging you in any manner - as it is not my place to do so. I was merely pointing out the discrepancy in join dates.

 

Every time we've had a vent server it's been shit.

 

Not to mention you can get user's IP's from vent ..

 

You can get them from other means also, such as MSN and IRC. I don't think the IP matter was the issue.

 

What about TeamSpeak, it's way better in my opinion

 

N4n0 runs a teamspeak server. At least he did a few weeks ago, not too sure if it's still up.

 

I'm willing to make it active. I'm online like everyday and I'll be surely in it if some of you here are in it. I mean some of you here are, those veterans of Sythe.org.

 

If anything it would most likely be an unofficial vent/teamspeak server. The IRC has had some success I think though it doesn't cost money to uphold the room for people.

 

Do it, we'll get enough people eventually

 

With staffs in there, I bet it'll be active in a short amount of time.
