Mysterious kid broke my iphone

Well I'm a senior in highschool and I own an iphone 4 or used to... Anyways needless to say I was in weight training listening to music I set down my phone in a safe place mind you to do a quick set of powerclean. I set it down way out of harms reach but someone purposely dropped a weight on my phone. I'm friends with 90% of the kids in my class and I'm pretty sure I'll find out who did it my big question is what should I do? Should I beat his ass and make him buy me a new one or go to faculty and have other students say they saw him do it? Most of you will probably say the 2nd one I just don't know if the faculty will make him pay as they may say you shouldn't leave it in harms way eventhough it was far from any weights/workout equipment

 

Talk to him and try to convince him to work it out, beating him up will get you joy but won't get you your iphone, going to the faculty can't make him pay you for the phone unless they have actual proof he broke it, the most they will do is suspend him in that case.

You best bet like I said above is talk to him, try to negotiate something like partial payments, and get your friends to help confront him, because its easy to say no to one person but its a lot harder to say no to 5 or 10.

Violence won't get you anywhere trust me

 

How do you know he purposely did it?

You should confront him about it, and then if a resolution cannot be reached confront the faculty about it. You could even go to his parents.

Don't go and beat him up first though, at least try talking it out first.

 

It might have been an accident. Report this to the teacher in charge, and you'll be able to sort everything out.

 

Find out who did it, then get a camera and film when you confront him and make him accept that it was him

Then you can go to the faculty and request them that the kid pays the phone.

 

I doubt some random person would do that on purpose. Just confront the person if you know for sure who it is and tell them to buy you a new one.

 

I highly doubt someone would of done that on purpose unless they really hated you. Ask the kids in class if they saw anything and then confront the kid and demand he replaces it. If he says no you can't do much about it if you don't have proof.

 

Intimidate him so he confesses he did it and ask him to pay for it, if he doesn't then you know what to do

 

Are you sure it was all that away from harms reach? Why would he break it, but not steal it? What did he break? The touchscreen, the chassi?

 

I personally would make him buy me a new one but in this instance, it's in school and bullying someone in school can make massive problems. The best option is to confront him about it and ask him to pay for it. If he fails to do anything about it, contact his parents, he will shit brix.

 

The last thing you would want to do is beat him up. You will earn nothing out of this. I would try to get a hold of his parents about it. If you can't get in contact with them, tell one of his friends to help you out.

lol @ the people who say "beat the shit out of him etc" god justs indicates your maturity levels, violence my friend, is never the answer.

 

When you find it out, say to him to repair/buy it for you, if he going to be asshole/say he wont, beat his ass up and say again, if answer is the same continue step 2.

 

Beating his ass won't get you anywhere and bringing it up to faculty won't work either because they will say "Why was your iPhone out during work outs?" I would just if you know who did it ask him to buy you a new one, or go to his parents.

 

The school will claim that they are not responsible of anything that occurs, at least that is the way it is here. They will then make the decision about what the punishment shall be, and since the phone was just sitting there they will say it was a accident. If there are no camera's that caught the person in action then they will not be suspended. Next time if there is a next time make sure that a friend holds on to your phone while you do your reps.

Nvm I thought you were giving this to the police... the school won't do anything for you, not supposed to have that in the first place, if you do it's your complete responsibility. Any administrator here would walk away if you told them a sob story like that.
