One of the requirements for the quest is 65 smithing. The account I need to do the quest on is like 1 smithing.

Anyone know if I can assist the smithing and by pass having to train to 65 smithing?

 

No, but you can use boosts. What I did is I trained my smithing to 63 and used a mature dwarven stout to boost to 65. I advise you do the same thing, or you could use spicy stew, but getting high boosts on it is rare.

Really? This is garbage. The accounts current smithing level is 10. Thought it was 1. So it has a little start towards 65 smithing.

Can anyone recommend a quick way to get to get 65 smithing? I am looking for the cheapest way possible that is also quick. Thanks.

 

Uh, well, I used this method to 63 smithing. I don't know if you would want to use it, It's not that fast, though it's not that expensive either. I used the 'gold-smith gauntlets' to smith gold ore to gold bars for 56.2 exp each time.

 

Hmm. I might do that. Gotta do Family Crest however. I hate smithing.

 

65 is really not that much. Just get the items and do it and get it over and done with
or you could get the items and go to one of those skilling services things.

 

Superheat to 65 smithing. Can be done very fast and you'll gain magic levels along the way.

 

You cant assist on any quests I think. But the quest is really worth it if you appreciate the rs storyline

 

smithing is a pretty fast skill, and just get 63 and use dwarven stout (M)

 

Doing the Knights Sword will get you 1-29 smithing and either superheating or with gold gauntlets you should smelt gold bars.

 

You can just buy the mith 2h and give to him, you dont need 65 smith.
