Promoting a few people

I don't know about you guys, but it seems there a lot of scam reports in the report a scammer section that are going unread. I know mods such as Farcast and Kero are doing their best to keep up with the reports but there are just too many.

I propose that the admins promote a few people to a position that allows them to deal with the scam reports. That way the other mods aren't as back up and such. Obviously, the people would have to be trusted.

What are you guy's opinion on this matter? I for one would volunteer for this position as I am on Sythe many hours a day.

 

You can't request ranks (for yourself, or others).

And promotions in general would probably be a good thing.

 

I'm not requesting a rank for myself or anyone. Just a mere suggestion to help out the other mods that are getting overrun with the reports.

 

I definitely support this.

Scam section is definitely backed up, and I noticed that a java driveby link that was posted HOURS ago is still there, with the driveby link still there. Mods are falling behind, and there needs to be a couple promotions.

 

I'm sure there deciding on the next people now, they just promoted someone though.

While that is true, it's obvious that more mods are needed. Even if it's just 1. Take a look at the scam reports section and you'll see why.

 

I am not suggesting "Ranks for myself or others" nor am I suggesting more moderators. I believe with the vBulletin forums, you can give people certain privileges without actually promoting them to moderator status.

I was only volunteering myself for said privilege.

 

This is never, ever going to happen. The current situation of scam reports is not because of a broken system, but rather unique circumstances that will hopefully happen again.

The lack of Global moderators is what is killing us right now, but have no fear. I don't think a single problem goes unnoticed by the administrative team.

2 things.
1. This won't happen, you can't even suggest it.
2. It's been solved. Check the RaS section.

 

Just because my posts per day isn't high doesn't mean I am not on here many hours a day. I also understand that they have taken care of it.

 

I think 1 or 2 people should be promoted, not sure who though.

Will need some hard decision making though, since you have to pick the right person

 

I'm going to classify this as requesting more moderators(DNS list) even if you disagree...

All I can say is we're working on getting the reports resolved and more staff if necessary.
