LRC not that great?

Well the past few days I've been getting 80 mining for LRC, because I've heard it's better than sorc garden.

Well I am at 80 now and have been mining gold at LRC like a lot of people suggest.

But I'm only getting roughly 105K/hr mining gold, and a little more mining coal. Sorceress garden makes more than both of them.

Am I doing something wrong or are people just way over exaggerating when they say LRC is 150k/hr?

 

Whats your mining level now?

Varrock Armour, What Pickaxe your using, and lag all effect your gp/hr.

 

I don't use varrock armor, and I'm using a rune pick. I completely forgot that a dragon pickaxe increases the gp/hr.

After letting it run for a few hours, it seems to be a lot better. I just need to get a dragon pick and I should be hitting normal gp rates.

I bet its more consistent than sorc garden though; half of the worlds for sorc garden have glitched elementals etc. resulting in a low success rate.

 

also as the price of ores falls, the profit falls aswell.
When I got 99 mining gold was at 600gp each... now it's at 240...

 

@coton: Yeah, the ore prices have fallen a lot. Which sucks.

@kjmt: Yes, it's very much more consistent. I've got 75 defense so I never die.

 

So basically there is your answer. You aren't dying (often or at all) and the prices have fallen. With the dragon pick axe I would say you would get roughly 20k more p/h? Not 100% sure but just an educated guess. I would assume also since you started right at 80, your profit per hour will increase a bit more around 85-87+. Good luck.

 

its alot faster at say 95+
also, to maximis your profits, use d pick and varock armour.

I was getting almost 169k an hour with dpic 95+ mining. But another thing to factor is an account with 1 everything 50ish def and hp and 99mining can be sold for 20$ to gold4rs.. So you make a 99miner account add 20$ or 35m to your profits..

 

Still isn't that horrible in terms of gp/hour, as far as mining goes. I might have to try that. What's the xp/hour? Just curious.

 

43-47k depending how many times you die in a 24hour period.

 

It's more for experience rather than money, LRC is just amazon experience hands down.

 

Hm nice, and that's doing the concentrated gold? or coal?
