^^ I promise you, if you bot, you will not get refunded. You will have to charge back.

Look a few pages back and you will see what I am talking about. Multiple pictures showing Jimmy stating that botting IS allowed, but since it takes up so many resources, you can't ask for a refund.

Edit: My other post wasn't appearing even after 5 minutes so I posted again because I thought the first didn't register. Resulting in a double post.

    Sorry!

Yeah, the first month I had Photon it worked amazing..but this month.. ehh.

Hopefully you don't even need to charge back!

Edit: Just to show how shit Photon's CS is, I asked them how to change my root password. Here's my response:

    Hello,

Login to ssh of your vps and change the password.

You can search on google as how to change root password for linux OS. And you will easily get the answer.

    --------

Nice CS, absolutely no help at all. I doubt he himself even knows how to change the password.

LOL! If you can just search google and instantly get it why didn't he just do so himself.

You can also change your password in SolusVM. For Seerhost VPS's, you can now access SSH (putty is a SSH client), change your root password, change your hostname, and view resource usage in the client area (product details page). Soon, you'll be able to access your Seerhost desktop via the web as well.

Berseker, from the email it sounds like you have a case of "abuse". All VPS providers will suspend servers that are suspected of abuse. If you think this is an error, try talking to customer service, i'm pretty sure they will be more than happy to help you.

Also the part about malware may indicate that your VPS was hacked.

Well I got that part solved.. the guy in CS just said to change my password every 8 days and that's it.

I still find it weird they sent me that.. I don't have any keyloggers or anything so I don't know how it could have been hacked. But either way it's solved, so no big deal.

Still having trouble with clients closing, but it seems to be a bit better now and doesn't do it as often.

If they assisted you with your issue why are you flaming them? I have nothing but good things to say about them they offer me high quality services. I currently have 5 VPS with them at the moment.

As far as clients closing, it could be a NeXus issue. I was experiencing that at one point but everything is running smoothly right now.

Oh and its good that they are monitoring the security of your VPS, you wouldn't want any intruders would you? This to me is quality service.

I was flaming them earlier and last night because I was frustrated. I probably shouldn't have flamed like I did but I was getting very frustrated.

The clients closing is not a Nexus issue. It doesn't happen on another VPS provider I use, nor does it happen on my personal PC. It isn't doing it as often now, so I can't complain.

While I am glad they are monitoring my VPS, I just get a random email stating I am abusing their VPS and that they will suspend me if I don't stop. What am I supposed to think? All I do is bot and I was a bit angered they threatened to shut off my VPS.

I do apologize for flaming them as much as I did. It wasn't necessary at all.

I understand your frustration, but from a VPS provider perspective any abuse is flagged and they will notify you before suspending your services.

My take on what you posted is that the "malicious" activity that they stated is the abuse that they wanted you to take care of. This is for your own safety as well as their safety as well.

As far as NeXus clients go, I agree that it is no longer a problem for me as well.

I think at times everyone experiences client closings, some more then others. When I had a photon vps I experienced them.. when I had servers I experienced them.. even on my mac I sometimes (but rarely) experience them. I guess its just something you have to deal with and hope for the best. From past experience, the client closings would happen frequently for a day but then the problem would be over, so maybe the vps was just having an off day? Maybe resource abuse from other people on your node?

That actually seems to hold true. The past few days it's been fine but today the client's are closing again..

    *sigh*

Don't even know what to do at this point.

Don't buy form yard its 1 cpu man last time you posted this I replied. The price is cheap yeah but the specs don't cut it and the owner won't allow botting on yardvps anyways because of the low specs so you risk termination.
    Don't bot on yardvps.
Openvz allows for overselling which is why i prefer Xen based virtualization, easy templates are one thing but when it affects my ability to run X amount of bots on X amount of ram I'd prefer Xen. As an example a member here dimkachum and I compared packages while using high resource scripts and he was only able to get 2 running using max resources whilst I ran 4 easily. His Openvz vs my Xen, if that's not overselling then it's not configured optimally at the least.

Compare resource usage with another member of the same specs might work. No provider would want to admit it.
This does hold true in alot of circumstances, if you remember Hazenet (sold to thrustvps which used to be damnedvps) Hazenet oversold openvz alot, there are so many providers that do.
This happens to me as well but I run different providers.

I quoted you due to the helpful information. Also good luck with your VPS let me know here if you have any trouble.
Yes alot of people must understand that just because your bots arent running good does not reflect their provider. I can say Photon is a great provider I run multiple vps from them and as soon as they offer dedi's I'm grabbing one. To shed some light on their CS you must understand the many types of management when it comes to webhosting.
    Code:
[B]Unmanaged[/B] - good luck your on your own and screw tickets unless your paying for admin time which is expensive. Know your stuff.
[B]Managed[/B] - Monitor and fix everything and you can pretty much ask them to wipe the computers arse but you pay $$ out of yours for many things.
[B]Semi-Managed[/B] - A balance in between you don't pay an arm and a leg but you also have to know a few things and be willing to learn for yourself.
Photon is semi-managed and for that price is a good one for the Warp packages, believe me I done alot of research and have ran bots on vps for awhile now.
Yes Photon does great at monitoring their systems and if they say you have been intruded upon personally I would believe it's very common and you should quickly reinstall and secure your password. Also you should look into installing security as using VNC programs through SSH and SSH unencrypted connections in general are dangerous and unsecure. Your password should be a combination of letters numbers and symbols, 123abc$#@as an example and look into learning linux security programs.

Bad time of the month for the vps? Maybe it's having an extended monday?
I agree with you kmjt the client closing is a common problem with me and can be frustrating. I find it happens after updates.

Just keep firing them up at first without hitting the Add bot button, if you need 6 fire up 8. Then log into the 6 and let them stablize for a bit. Then fire up another to the runescape screen or keep them there depending on resource usage (check free -m and free -cpu in console), if one crashes it's quickly replaced. I am assuming you have a higher end vps package.
You actually shouldn't be using the swap space to bot lol. You should upgrade to a bigger vps package.

Photon are killing my clients constantly.. this is very frustrating even if I load up 5 they just keep killing them when they run. I really don't pay money for a VPS so that I need to sit and check up on it every 5 minutes and open new clients. Very, very annoying and I'll probably spend my money elsewhere next month sadly. And I'm on a warp 3 package running well within my usage limits..

Its not them killing them, its your clients shutting down because youre using too many. Adjust your xmx, and if youre using heavy resource bots, then use less.

So one client is too many then?

I've had nothing else running on a warp 3 package bar one client and it's been shut off multiple times.

What's a good vps that I use powerbot on? I'm thinking of getting photonvps next month since seerhost sucks.

I was having the same problem, it's all random as to when it happens. What are your xmx settings at?

I leave mine at 1000, it seems every time I change to 474 it makes it worse.

Although once I get all my clients up and running, and they don't close within 10 minutes, then they won't ever close. So that's a good thing.
