So photon seems like my best bet for setting up a vps
but is it even worth trying to set up a sorc garden army anymore? imo its going to nerfed its been going on far to long

 

Finally after 48 hours, my vps was setup

 

Try to find something else to bot. Sorc isn't even great gp/hour anymore.

Well Photon runs on dual cpu's, 8 cores each cpu on kingston ram which is why I don't mind paying extra for those specs. I'm not sure about Seerhost's systems maybe someone that uses them can ask or check. Seerhost is especially aimed at botting and photon is not but they still allow botting.

 

Just to add to this, Photon has NO downtime. I have never not been able to bot because Photon is down.

I really recommend Photon. Great company.

I have no experience with Seerhost, so I can't help much there.

 

Photon is Xen and Seerhost is Openvz if anyone cares for or knows the difference.

 

Photon has OpenVZ and Xen... but if you want a photon VPS buy it from Yardvps.com
same company, but cheaper because photon is managed and yard is unmanaged.

also Xen vps are better than OpenVZ just fyi.

This is only true if the openvz provider oversells. If not overselling, openvz is more efficient and stable.

Be careful buying openvz servers from a normal provider as it is expected that they will oversell. However, SeerHost does not oversell- Openvz is just significantly simpler for custom OS templates (aka with vncserver, java, botting client, etc. already installed).

 

Is there a way you can be positive that SeerHost doesn't oversell? I'm not saying you are wrong or lying, I'm just curious.

 

Only way for an OpenVZ provider to make money is to oversell their services.

 

WHY do my clients keep closing themselves? This is happening with Photon only, and it is pissing me off.

Every time I open a client, it closes within a few minutes. Every time.

This used to happen every couple days so it was no big deal.. but now I seriously cannot keep a client open for more than 10 minutes and I am getting so sick of Photon. I can only assume it's on Photon's end because my other VPS doesn't do this. Nor does it do it when I run it on my PC.

Before anyone tells me to do this- I already submitted a ticket, and like I figured, they are absolutely no help whatsoever.

So any ideas?

 

Anyone know what type of internet connection Seer uses? I'm running two bots right now but the third one is having connection issues.

It's not a issue my side since im running the same bots i usually do and i haven't changed settings.

Nexus was acting up earlier, so it might just be client issues.

Exact same issue that made me switch over to Seer. Are you using W1 or something higher? Also, I've been saying the same thing for the past month. Photons CS = Shit.

Using Warp 3. It does the same thing on Warp 4 as well.

Yeah I know their CS is absolute shit. Half assed, broken English responses that are now pissing me off as well.

I'm about at my wits end with Photon. There isn't a chance in hell I am going to continue using them. I have been praising them for a while now and I'm definitely done doing that.

And of course, it's still closing my clients. I have rebooted several times.

 

Thats standard with chinese crap. Sometimes it works great, sometimes you get fucked over after a while.

The only thing I can think of is backing up your auths and reinstalling the vps's os.

 

If this happens to me i'm asking for a refund. no reason to pay for crap.

What a fucking joke of a company. After sending in tickets asking about the mysterious closing of clients, they send me a ticket saying this:

No I am not infected by any god damn malware. All I do is bot on the damn VPS. If they suspend the VPS, I'm charging back through my credit card. Fuck them. I'm definitely done with Photon and I am going to direct other people away from them. They are way too much trouble.

Has anyone else got a message from them like this?

Edit: And whats even more funny is that when I woke up- all but 1 client was closed.

@ejj- They won't refund you if you bot on their servers.

 

I dont care, I can use the VPS for whatever I want, their TOS says

if they don't refund me i'm charging back and they can go fuck themselves.

their usage policy states that you can get a refund as long as your not breaking any of these rules. https://www.photonvps.com/aup.html

so the only real one that applies to us is the "extensive resource usage", and if my bots keep turning off (which they are not as of now), i'm not using extensive resources and therefore am entitled to a refund.
