Need help building a pc

i want to build a pc for only botting, should i just get a good processor and lots of memory and shitty everything else? will i beable to use the full power of the cpu with a crappy motherboard, etc..?

I can help you out, let's start with your budget?

 

TL-60 and up will be a great processor. Other than that, deck it out with the most memory it can take.

Well not really. If you are going to dedicate a computer to botting, you are going to want decent equipment all around. Because you can put stress on the cheaper products and burn them out. I recommend getting higher end stuff.

Start with the case, the mb, processor, ram, psu, hdd, dvd drive and so on.

Get one piece at a time if you have to.

To be honest, I really doubt you will be able to build a computer that can handle alot of bots for under 400 dollars.

I still recommend that you find the parts you need and save your money. Or buy the pieces seperately and keep them stored away safely until you get everything you need

 

Why not just use a VPS?

 

well the main things are the processor and memory, other stuff wont cost much. i dont want to spend a lot or it wont be worth it

 

I spent $220 on my processor that's half your budget, your gonna need more then $400. I suggest using a vps until you have $800-$1k to spend.

You can't exactly get a $40 motherboard and run it 24/7 without frying it and ruining your cpu and shit. But good luck, you seem to have it set in your mind that you can build one for $400 so let us know how it turns out

 

You will not build a good or even decent computer for botting with $400. It can not be done. You won't be running over 6-8 bots, maximum. More like 4, probably.

The graphics card matters a lot more than you seem to think. You're better off buying like 5 VPS from PhotonVPS (Xen Warp 4, I believe) and being able to run about 40 bots. Believe me.

Btw I say this from experience; I've built 3 full computers over the past 4 years and have owned VPSes as well.

 

A good botting CPU is Intel Core2Duo. It's not heating up that much, and it's pretty powerful. Also, what number of bots do you want to run?

 

Maybe if you live in like 2007 lol. Quads are very easily affordable now.
