Just sitting around thinking as I do most often, and this is what I thought up. If Space Is What separates the earth from the heavens, and space is infinite. then would that mean that heaven is an infinite distance away? or by our logic, that there is no heaven? Deep cogitations.

Then to my immediate realization, I also think Heaven isn't part of logic itself it has divinity; therefore, this whole theory is flawed by that fact alone.....

    So what are your thoughts?

    You assume that:

    Heaven exists.
    Space is infinite.

I'm quite sure space is infinite, I have pondered the ideal for a while. It makes complete sense. Space also keeps creating never stops, but it also keeps destroying so the world may never know. :p

I thought Space, although not infinite, is ever expanding? That is does end at some point? I'm not sure though >_>

Why would you believe in heaven? Do you have any evidence that would even slightly suggest it exists? Seriously.

Also, mankind can not fully understand the concept of infinity, or zero. So we can't comprehend space going on forever, or space being finite. Perhaps either is possible, or something else we can't understand. We'll die not knowing.

    You don't know that.

I can comprehend infinity. It's a hard task but it is comprehendable.
To your heaven remark if you die a non-believer and God is real? Won't you be screwed? Where as I live my life like a normal person but have faith in God and if I die as a believer and he is real I am rewarded greatly, but if he isn't real I have lost nothing in life, except a few hours on a Sunday. If you ask anyone my option will be option most chosen.

Just because it's the popular choice doesn't mean it's the logical one. Fear of hell should never justify being religious, it kind of defeats the purpose of "belief" when you're scared into it. You want an intellectual answer, yet you're asking a silly question.. Think about how many religions exist in the world, and how many people follow each of them. Christianity is followed by approximately 29-32% of the world, what makes christianity seem like more sense than the others? What if the other religion is right, and you're screwed anyway?

    Space is not infinite.

I heard somewhere here where they were debating about it, something about "Space will expand and when it's done expanding, it'll shrink back to nothing, Destroying everything within it".

So you only believe in a god because you're afraid of dying? =|

Before you can really ponder this, you'd need extensive knowledge on the religion whose "heaven" you speak of and on the science that encompasses the size of space (I think it's quantum physics, I honestly don't know).
I'd say, however, that if both assumptions you're making are true (about space being infinite and heaven being real): I'd say heaven isn't in this reality, but rather an alternate reality, nonexistent in our time and space.. otherwise we'd eventually be able to find it, and that would defeat the ultimate purpose of religion: be good, find heaven.

I believe that space is endless and that heaven is infinite distance away from us.

Heaven is deemed to be in a different realm, not at the "end" of space.

    ...
It's proven to be continuously expanding.

I think that's what he measn by 'infinite', that it's always expanding. Don't think they're the same thing though
