    Not sure if anyone actually appreciates the competition of bodybuilding. I don't know if anyone here competes, etc. I've yet to see a thread on bodybuilding on Sythe.org yet, so I thought perhaps I should create one where us gym-rats can freely discuss competitors in the IFBB, INBF, OCB, NPC, etc. If I see comments relating to any of the following, I will report you;

    AAS
    PH's
    HGH
    Synthol
    Insulin

I am a natural competitor, and I'm shooting for a pro card in the OCB organization (INPA) at the Southern States Natural, and yes I am natural. Here is a quick video of me running through so poses (horrible lighting, but you get the gist of it.) Oh and STRONG nohomo on the posing, and rolled up boxers, the poses are mandatory, and I thought people would much rather I wear the rolled up boxers over my posing trunks..

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlhZiQZltoc

A list of my favorite IFBB bodybuilders, would be...
    Dorian Yates
    Ronnie Coleman
    Cody Lewis
    Phil Heath
    Big bad wolf (Dennis Wolf)
    Kai green
    Frank Zane
    Ed Corney
    Lou Ferrigno

    In no particular order...
My favorite natural bodybuilder is probably Layne Norton.

Feel free to discuss anything related to BBing on this thread weather it be training, dieting, competitors, etc.

Nice job man! I can't imagine working out in Iraq, so props to you, haha :)
Well, I typically run a 5 day split 2 days HIT during the On-season (Pre-contest training) during the off-season I do the same 5 day split, minus 1 day of the HIT days.

Gotta start somewhere man, I've only been doing it for a year. As far as lats go, I'm genetically gifted I would say in that region, but I've also put very hard and dedicated work into them. I have no set workout, your body will eventually adapt to the amount of repititions, weight, etc. So I switch my days up (1 weeks light, 1 week heavy, 1 week pyramid, 1 week whatever my body feels up for) sometimes I though in a high volume program during a week (Quantum Body Method, or something like that.) As far as particular exercies that seemed to really work them well, probably Pull ups (Very wide grip), lat pulldowns (there is also a machine that isolates the lats a lot more at my gym.) Typically I saw more results going heavier, but remember it's different for everyone. If there were ONE certain way to train and get fit, EVERYONE would do it.
Calves are one of the MOST stubborn body parts I have to train. They refuse to grow. Though they are not BIG, they are ALMOST proportionate with my physice, believe it or not.. They should measure the same as your arms, my calves are missing about 1 inch from my arms.

It's been proven to be the most efficient cardio to this date. It's been proven to burn less calories, but produce more skinfold losses. I have a few articles on the science behind them (I think they're written by Dr.Norton, but I'm not sure.)

The training is pretty simple, it's 15-20 minutes of a shocker. It doesn't have to be on a treadmill, in fact, it may even be better to do it on a track or something. First you warm up fro about 5 minutes (Slow pace) and you pick it up to about a jog for 1 minute, then you increase to a sprint (very fast run) for 1 minute, then decrease speed back to a faster job for about 30-45 seconds, then increase to the sprint again for 1 minute, etc.

You don't change a thing on these days diet wise (Post workout, simple high GI carb, post-workout whey/isolate/etc.) The only thing that changes is what you're doing at the gym.

    My favourite bodybuilders are:

    ronnie coleman
    kai greene
    victor martinez
    dorian yates
    phil heath

is that jim cordova guy natural? cos he looks a beast!

and good luck with the bb'ing. Ive been training hard now for about 4 years although i dont compete. It gets very hard sometimes to stay motivated, and there are lots of distractions!

Looking real cut. and nothing is better for fat loss than HIIT when it comes to cardio. I was finally able to get definition in my abs after incorporating sprints into my routine.

I am not looking to be a bodybuilder but I do want to be in good shape. I lift four times a week and do HIIT cardio the other three days.

But sticking to a solid nutrition is the hardest thing for me. Eating tuna and protein shakes gets old real fast. It's hard to resist that junk food.

Sorry this took so long, I thought it got buried under all these other threads!
Well, on the off-season (bulk) I normally fit around 75g fats (no more then 12g sat. fats) 350g carbs (sources from brown rice, oats, kidney beans, etc.) 225-250g protein (chicken breast, eggs, beef, steak, etc.) and it totals to around 4,000 calories calculating all of them. I'll edit this post to add my actual diet later, but I need to head to school :p
