Poll: What Party are you Affiliated with?

Personally, I voted independent in this poll as I believe party politics causes unnecessary strife and detracts from focus on issues and the ability for citizens to critically analyse the best course of action for the country. However, while voting for canidates, I would usually vote democrat as I believe the republican party, for the most part, has largely become the uneducated and ignorant party.

 

Technically i'd be an independent. I wouldn't vote simply because of a title, and I find things I like and dislike within both parties.



However, I didn't vote in the last election. Nothing what-so-ever appealing about any candidates.

 

I am Independent because parties tend to vote and decide on party lines. But out of the major parties I would still choose Democrats over the Republicans because atleast Democrats try to look after the interests of the general public instead of being yes men for corporations.

If I was of age I'd vote for neither. Just sign myself in and scribe screw all parties on the ballot.
Both parties are as bad as each other, none represent the people.

 

None, but Independent cause I guess you can't really say none..

I'd go with Democrat though, but the Government only cares about money so they can all go F themselves.

 

Not allowed to vote yet but when I am I'll probably be independent but normally vote republican. I don't really care a lot voting but I have normally like the republican candidates more than the democratic ones.

 

Now more so tea party but usually republican through and through.

 

I consider myself to have Geolibertarian views.

 

Who are the Tea Party people? I've only briefly looked into their methods during my American History class at my college, but history bores me to death so I didn't really pay attention

 

So far everyone who has said republican has failed to read the post, and hence has not stated why they vote republican.

I vote republican because my dad did, and my dads dad did.

 

Liberal Republican. I chose this party when I decided to find a party that suited my ideologies, and this fit the perfect description.

 

Please elaborate on which ideologies you share with the party.

 

Republican. I agree more with their ideology (less spending, smaller govt. etc.) than I do the Democrats.

 

I'm "No party affiliation" on my voters card but i usually lean republican.

 

I'm canadian, so none. Out of liberals, conservatives, NDP, and green party, I'm NDP (new democratic party)

 

I believe in a smaller government, smaller budget, smaller taxation, etc. But I also believe in gay rights, abortion, etc.

 

Im a Republican by birth (my family is republican, and of course, has raised me with their beliefs.) so, naturally, I picked that in the poll..haha. I agree with lowering taxes, smaller budget, anything to create more jobs, anything to stop global warming (I thoroughly agreed with Al Gore, I'm a strong global warming freak.) I don't really mind gay marriage and all that. People are people. George Washington's Lt. (I think it was? PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong) was gay. I DONT agree with abortion, or practicing dangerous religions (Not towards ALL Muslims, but some of them are quite bad...). I think that Sarah Palin is a good candidate for the next election...she seems to know what she's doing. Donald Trump would be good, I think, only for getting rid of the money problems. All in all, I'm not sure what "party" I would stick in. I just go as Republican since that's what my family is (though it's not like relgion, it's just easier to say Republican than: Well, technically I'm a republican, but I don't really agree with....etc etc etc. :|) So yeah. Haha.

 

The "Independent Party" option seems a bit misleading. If you're independent, you have no party. I voted other simply because I think you're a damn fool if you make up your mind on issues before even hearing about them. If you vote Republican or Democrat each and every time, you don't even give many bills a chance.

 

The Republican party has changed much since then. It used to be the intellectual party, now it seems more war mongering than not.
