I dont have much to say but every single week I end up getting scammed by at least 1 person, attempts of being scammed are well over 5+ a week. I just cant believe some people on here and what they will go through to get 20 Dollars worth of gold for free..

 

Then you know what you do? Don't go with people you don't feel comfortable with! If you think someone is sketchy, then don't sell to them. It's not hard. Look for vouches, join date, and (in some cases) posts.

Search the scammer section for their name, if nothing comes up, then the person could be considered safe.

 

Well, I cant say much, but it was, is, and will be like. If i calculated every gold i lost by getting scammed i would reach 3b+ easily. Whenever I say: I wont be scammed again, somebody trusted comes with 100vouches, many trades done, etc. etc. and it happens again. Theres nothing we can do about it, its people mentality. You can only protect yourself as stated @up.

 

I know, and yes its funny how people with hundreds of vouches start to randomly scam people (from what it looks like) the only people I have been scammed from are people with well over 100 vouches.

 

Research people you're buying from/selling to!!

 

Yeah, it's hard to find trustworthy customers when your starting up. I guess it just takes time.

 

Don't go first to untrusted people, or use an OMM/trusted free MM.

just stick to using trusted MMs and OMMs most scammers will just run as soon as you say "we will use a OMM"

 

ive only been scammed 3 times but i dont even know if the people i reported got banned or not ,,,,, its really sad

 

With ample evidence like uneditedscreenies of chat convo's, Paypal/WU/etc resputes, and proof of trade, there's is an extremely high chance that the person will get banned. Also, check the scam thread you made against the person. Usually someone will report back what happened.

 

Sadly you can't really expect anything better from people on the black market.

Well,you can't always be sure...Just remember if they are trusted and have legit vouches,it could work,but don't trust newbies such as myself.

 

My suggestion is always use a MM or OMM, don't ever go first and ALWAYS ask the person you're doing business with to PM you on Sythe.org for confirmation. Take screenshots of everything, and if a person rushes you or is rude to you in anyway, block them. It's better to wait and have a safe trade rather than not to wait and get scammed.
