How can I achieve a 6 pack at home?

Currently do not have a gym to go to, and I know diet is more important than workout for abs.

I have a BMI of about 20.8, and have very fast metabolism.

    My typical day of eating:
Breakfast: Bowl of Cereal with orange juice and vitamin tablets.
    Lunch: Sandwich with yogurt/fruit.
Dinner: White / Red meat with a side of vegetables or something similar.

    How is my diet?

What should I be doing as far as workouts/exercising?
And how much of those exercises should I do in a day/week?

Currently, I play basketball 2-3 days a week along with some runs for cardio.
I do light amounts of sit-ups

What else should I be doing?

    Thanks in advance.

Your main focus should be your diet. Everything you eat, and I mean everything, will change the results of your diet. Low calories, healthy foods. It sounds to me like your diet is good. Also, lots of Cardio and Plyometrics. If it's available, I'd recommend Ab Ripper as well, as it is a very well rounded, working both the lower abs and the obliques, two harder to reach places.

    Experience; did p90x.

Thanks for the input, I've looked into and will continue looking at Plyometrics, they seem promising.

Around %10 body fat is when most people start to have visible abs, so if you want to see them then this is what you will need to achieve.

To lower your body fat your going to have to go on a "cut", basically it means losing weight with the emphasis being on fat loss.

Though I wouldn't recommend this unless you are already working out and have muscle, being skinny with a six pack just makes you look scrawny.

But if you really want to lose weight and get your abs to show, then figure out your maintenance calories (Google search) then subtract 500 calories from this. This is how many calories you should eat each day to lose weight and get your abs to show.

If you want more help I suggest going to www.bodybuilding.com/forum excellent site and has many stickys to get you started on nutrition, exercise etc.

As kabal said, below 10% is when your abs can be seen and is not buried beneath the fat.

I would suggest doing core exercises, push ups, sit ups, crunches are very good; basically those exercises + cardio for 30 minutes a day will do you wonders.

To shape them, 2 months. Now I just maintain them, as I've always had almost no fat under my skin.

Crunches will be one of the most effective exercises you can do to get those abs.

How can I achieve a 6 pack at home?

I'm 14 and I have a 6 pack, I got it from swimming and running. I don't do crunches or any exercises at home. I swim twice a week for one-hour sessions. I run cross country competitions a couple times a month.
    It wasn't hard, I wasn't trying to get a 6 pack but somehow I did :)
Btw I eat/drink plenty of junk, having a glass of coke right now I generally eat well over my recommended calorie intake every day.
So yeah, I did exactly the opposite. Ate loads of junk, never worked out but somehow I got a 6 pack. This may not work for most people....

You're just fortunate that you have a high metabolism, and plus you're still really young. Enjoy it while it lasts, because soon you'll have to change your life style to retain those abs :)

How can I achieve a 6 pack at home?

By watching videos when I started, I just picked the exercises that got me tired the most.

Try searching in youtube, then pick the exercises and create your own routine.

You should do 25 - 30 repetitions per exercise. And over 200 per day to get them fast.

Sit-Ups and Push-Ups is what you need to aim for at home. Possibly jog in place.
