Jagex Sells rsgp?(What do you think?)

i thought about this myself a few years ago and it would be possible honestly... it wouldn't affect that much i mean they are already alot of gold selling sites

 

There is already an incredibly high amount of goldsellers as it is. If jagex were to sell gold, they would have to compete with one of these major sites. It would only be a shortwhile (6 months probs) and jagex would be one of the major goldsellers because their customers aren't being banned whilst their competition is. Other goldsellers are forced to compete by lowering their prices, jagex will lower theirs. In the end, you would only see a reduced value of GP and it'll discourage lots of players.

 

Nah, as all those sites can't even spell, but in all News updates on RS site, there is little to no errors.

And they make enough $ off membership, and not banning bots.

 

if they did that they would ruin the economy in runescape.

no but what if you think about it as they sell it to you, (against the game rules) then they know the name of your account, and ban you for rwt that way the money is out of circulation they get the $ you paid them and ban you, you cant get a refund because you did receive the product.

They would never do that...
Its ultimately there own loss in the long term, if any rumours etc of this ever surface, you have no idea how many people would quit on the spot

Plus, they're a proper company, with a proper staff, and proper consultants, with proper analysis of what feedback they would get from a particular update, or a step - So basically, No.

ive thought of it before, and tbh i wouldnt be suprised. think about it as if it were a movie, thers two sides to the company, the public and private. to the public, they are 100% against botters and RWT while in all reality they run a RWT websight (like Gold4RS) and jus type with a lil bit of an accent and BAM ther a bunch of squinty eyed asians. then again im a paraniod conpiracy nut so this could jus be me XD

 

plus it wouldnt be hard to keep for a couple of years, look at the US goverment and how they keep secrets for 60years before admitting it

Even if they did they'd sell it at like $10 per mill or something stupid so nobody would actually buy it..

 

I actually have believed this would happen since the free trade update.

My prediction is jagex will buy gold off players and redistribute it for twice as much to players. They'd buy it off players to not destroy the economy with inflation. Or they'd create a massive moneysink and simply do all dealings without buying from players.

This could hurt black market quite a bit and make jagex a lot of profit at the expense of legitimate players but for the benefit of stupid kids.

 

Yeah, no. There would be no point or economy left to the game if this happened.

 

If they was to do this, it is kinda possible. It would be wild prices. Look at Zanga games, no market, but people pay it, it's e-crack.

 

why you would think they are selling gold if they took wilderness and trade off for 3 years. I'm pretty sure that they are not selling rs money.
