    I'm definitely not obese or anything, but I'd like to lose a bit of weight.

    I'm 5'9", and weight about 185 or so. I'm a relatively stocky guy so a lot of that weight actually comes from muscle. I'd like to lose about 15 - 20 lbs or so. No set date, I just want to lose it when I lose it.

    I'm currently on a medication for other unrelated health issues that does suppress my appetite. I've lost about 8 lbs thanks to this (NO I am not using it for this purpose, and this was over a 1 month long period that also included me adjusting my diet, I don't consider it unhealthy) but I'd like to know if there's any way I could further contribute to my weight loss.

    Mainly looking for activities that I could do without any type of equipment. I'm not able to pay for a gym membership and I don't have much in the way of work out equipment. My girlfriend does have a treadmill and I'm there 2-3 days a week, so that is available. She also has a pool. Would be nice if someone could work up a schedule for me, like say I do 50 crunches every morning when I wake up, 50 at night, etc. that would help contribute to some weight loss.

    Some info about my diet:
    Breakfast: Usually skip it, if I do eat something it's usually something bad such as cereal/poptarts. What can I say, I have a thing for sweets lol. That's why I generally skip it.

    Lunch: turkey/cheese sandwich or similar

    Dinner: Usually some form of pasta, rice, or something like hot dogs/hamburgers.

    All in all the average day for me is usually ~1200-1500 calories at most. I drink ONLY water. I will rarely ever drink any sodas unless it's the only option, and then it's usually diet. I am as of right now, a relatively sedentary person. As the weather starts to get better I think I might try to change that though. I've been feeling like quitting gaming and all that and just going out more often and finding things to do irl.

    1) Don't skip breakfast. It's seriously the most important meal of the day, it gets your metabolism going, which aids in burning calories/losing weight.
    2) Exercise as much as you can. Even if you go out for 15 minute job, it's better than nothing.
    3) Find something you enjoy doing that will help you burn calories. For example, I sometimes spend hours at the park playing pickup basketball.. I'll look at my phone and realize I've been there for 3 hours, without even realizing it. I probably burn hundreds of calories playing basketball, and it doesn't even feel like I'm exercising.
    4) Less carbs, more protein. If you're deadset on eating pasta/rice for dinner, then spike it with healthier food. For example, cook some ground turkey and mix it in with your pasta, and add tomato sauce. Extremely delicious, and you can't go wrong with protein. Or, cook half as much rice as usual, and cook some fresh veggies to eat on the side.
    5) Eat a lot of fruits. If you eat a "heavy" fruit, such as a banana and drink a glass of water before a meal, it'll require less food for you to feel "full", and you'll end up eating less.
    6) Try and stay away from hotdogs/hamburgers. If you're dead set on eating them, then buy organic turkey franks (if you can afford it), and try and make your own burger patties. Turkey burgers are delicious and healthier than beef burgers. You can make your own breadcrumbs with whole wheat bread, which is healthier than bread crumbs made from white bread.

    Skipping breakfast actually makes you GAIN weight. Try eating yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast. Also you should for some organic cereals. I've had plenty that taste just as good as regular sugary cereals

    You will lose weight if you eat under your maintenance level, which is the amount of calories you need to intake a day to maintain your current weight. Honestly, 1200-1500 calories isn't healthy at 185 pounds. You could be eating a lot more and still losing weight. Look through my guide if you want to calculate your own maintenance level:

    Just take in around 500 calories below your maintenance level to lose weight safely. Starving yourself will only result in weakness and muscle loss.

    I'd say go run a few times a week,

    start with 1 minute running - 2 minutes walking (10x, just slightly above the speed of talking during running, roughly 80% of your max heart beat/min)
    second training of the week 3 minutes jogging 3minutes walking (5x) (at the speed you can still talk during running)
    third training of the week jog for 30minutes on really slow speed (my uncle used to do this early in the morning because he shamed himself for going that slow, just reflects how slow it is)


    you should always adjust it to your own capabilities as I dont know about your current condition.

    Believe it or not, eating something for breakfast will help you lose weight over a period of time.

    When eating food have a look to see what it contains, try to avoid fatty foods and cut down on your calories gradually.

    I have a nice quick tip.

    Keep eating normally, as healthy as possible, less fat the best.

    Don't do muscle exercises, just do cardio, run ;)

    A common mistake in quick weight loss is if you starve yourself for a while an lose a fair bit of weight as soon as you starts eating normally you will almost instantly go back to where you started.

    Eat more protien rich foods such as chicken an tuna (not fried chicken either .. Roasted)

    Start a sport up that's close to your house so you don't lose motivation, get a few mates to start with you. It's alot easier to train when yo and your mates striving for the same thing.

    Take the stairs not the lift or escalaters when your at the train station or shopping centre.. It's the little changes in life that will over time have the biggest effect on you
