Jagex Sells rsgp?(What do you think?)

Have you ever thought about Jagex selling Rsgp/Items? ( From a store like Gold4rs, Usfine, Rsultimate, NOT ON THE RUNESCAPE WEBSITE!)

im curious about what you guys think, since they would make a awesome profit from doing so, and they can easily "Produce" Rsgp or something like that

They'll never do that. The day they start doing that is the day we can officially say Runescape died.

 

I seriously doubt that they actually do, but if they did they would make quite a bit of extra money.

 

You never know if one of those gold selling sites are actually jagex? also it wouldn't effect Runescape at all since there is serveral of millions taken into the game each day.

 

Oh wait I thought you meant "ilegally" not them selling it through RS

They would never do this.

In the long run, they'd be losing more money than they gain. Selling an infinite stock of RSGP means massive inflation on every item that you can imagine. The inflation will drive away the majority of the casual RuneScape players who are unable to keep up.

 

I can see it happening... Roughly $5.00 per mil, it will just make more people RWT though.

So they would actually wouldn't be noticed, this would make them a BIG amount of money imo.

 

Imagine the rants forum if Jagex did decide to sell rsgp, wouldnt be worth it having to listen to all them assholes who like to complain about everything.

 

If they banned more bots i think the economy would be about the same.

It wouldn't change as drastically, no. There are still plenty of legitimate skillers. All this would take is a few rich people to buy 50B (and believe me, there are people like this out there) to effectively shatter the economy.

 

Ye but if jagex used a "undercover" shop they could ban the high value buyers(i know that would be bsing) but RWT is still against the rules so they wouldn't really care

And still i think bots make more a day than they would actually sell, even to rich people who would buy 50B.

Completely disagree. The runescape economy does not work the same way the real world does. The game would not crash as our market economy would. If there was a ton of money added to our economy, production would increase, prices will fall, ect. But the government will intervene.
In the RS Economy, there is no government to implement any safety net to keep this from happening, there are no taxes, there are no manual changes to price of items.
So, the RS Economy would crash in prices, the economy will not "recover" but it will adapt to the new prices. We will have a lot more fun PKing with better "risk" and items, skills will be cheaper, and people will play more.

Edit. Inflation would NOT occur in Runescape markets. I know it seems that way as that's what would happen in our economy. I'll rewrite why I believe that later. It's going to take me a few minutes that I dont have atm. I'll edit later.

 

gold would deflate in my opinion. too much competition for sites. i thought about it when i was like 12 but other than that i don't think its gonna happen.

No I think if they were they would have been figured out by now. Selling on sythe/other black markets. Possibly.
