That method seems like it would work still. Unless Jagex has stopped force-changing offensive usernames. Which I doubt.

Out of upgrades >.< I'll try to get it upgraded by a sythe upgrader tonight/tomorrow.

 

You can change the name to something offensive and e-mail them saying you left the room for a second and your brother changed it. They will give you the option to change it immediatley when you login.

This method is not recommended for really rare names, and you should be online and watching your e-mail whilst doing this. You can contact them by going to rs homepage > help > customer support > billing > submit a billing query.

After you've done that (on the account which has the name you want to transfer) the name will be available right away. And you can change your other accounts name to that display name. (If your other account has the option to change display name)

How long does it usually take them to reply and reset the name?

 

If you post in Jagex Lite a lot, a JMOD will usually notice within a few hours, if not you're looking at 12-24 hours max.

 

If you use the billing query to contact them, a few hours max most likely.

If its extremly rare name unfortunately the best method would be too change names twice and as soon as you change for the second time the rare name becomes free so YOU control when it becomes available not Jagex.

 

No, I'm pretty sure they just return your old name back. I know several friends who tried this, they just got their old names back. Your method and spamming on forums that you got hacked etc, will not clear the name, they will reset it back to the original.

You're only 'pretty sure' and have probably never tried it either, I've done it myself, so surely I know how it goes. You'll be forced to change your name to something else when logging in.

 

Really you are trying to teach me? I deal with buying, selling and transfering accounts all day on runescape, lol. Don't post bs on forums and not expect someone to retort back.

However seeing as you obviously have way more trading experience than me I'll break this off..

 

Anytime you mention that you have been hacked or that someone got access to your account in anyway without permission and changed name, they automatically give you back your old name. It has happened to me and it has happened to many of my friends. You get to choose new name when you just change to offensive and spam random bs like how jagex sucks or how ur mad woox16 quit, and not mention hacking in anyway. It is most likely Jagex's discretion, but majority of the time they follow my method.

edit: Jagex most likely returns your old name back if you mention you been hacked because they dont want you to lose your old name. But if you are just spamming with a offensive name for no reason they just wipe the names and dont spend the extra time restoring your old name back.

 

Care to bet a grand my method will work? We'll use MM.

 

Lol, never said it was an exact science. I'm just stating what I have learned from my many experiences, and from experiences of others.

Either way fastest way to get a name deleted is to have a maxed friend. And have them report your name in the maxed player forum report section, where jmods will personally look at reports and take action within minutes. May work with pmods too, but I'm not sure.
