Don't accuse me without a link.
I always post a link to the wiki page, and yes, it did answer your question or i wouldn't post it.

I was specifically asking for people's personal experiences in drops with the recent RoW update. The wiki gave absolutely NO information on the new drop rates, nor does it contain any personal experience with the recent update. Your post was pure spam and did not contribute to the thread in any way, shape, or form.

You've also posted it on several other threads, except I'm not going to dig up every little thing just to show you I'm right. You asked for proof? The link above is exactly why I don't 100% support this thread.

    tl;dr
You asked about the drops, which is covered in the wiki.
Go to the RoW's page for info on what it affects.
You have to look, they aren't right in front of you.

Again, I was asking for people's PERSONAL EXPERIENCES WITH THE DROPS IN REGARDS TO THE RECENT ROW UPDATE, not a drop list for Fire Giants.

The fact is, you spammed the thread, and your link answered absolutely nothing. First you said if you ever post a link, you answer the question, but now you say the people have to go looking for it. So which is it? That's the equivalent of me spamming "Google it!" on everyone's post that asks a question.

You screwed up, just admit it.

I disagree with every "check 'x' site before you post" type of thread. In doing so; whether knowingly or not, you're directing vital traffic away from Sythe. This should be a place where somebody can ask a question and get a quality answer without visiting another site. Prioritizing informational sites such as this one over Sythe is unproductive. Sythe is a valuable resource too.

I'm not reading your post. This ends here. If I offended you, I apologize, but I will argue no further.

Very true. And it is knowingly, but with so many of the same threads, it's so easy to just look on the wiki, especially for easy things. It's getting very late here and I'm losing proper reasoning skills, but your points are completely valid, it's a two-sided argument. I just find multiple threads asking introductory questions a tad annoying, which may be my own opinion, but judging by others, I'm not the only one bothered.
I agree with you Farcast, but I also stand firmly by my point. Also, the new trees do look pretty damn stupid.

I appreciate that you're attempting to get people the answers they need, but I suggest we go about it in a different way. What is your opinion on a FAQ type of thread? If the same types of common questions are occuring repeatedly, then that might be a fair remedy. Even if the suggested thread doesn't touch upon every question, it can effectively remove a lot of the redundancy here.

The new trees do look terrible. I can't stand them.

I would support that most definitely. People don't always post threads for a simply, clear cut answer, sometimes they actually want personal experiences (something no wiki post can/will give), or they want an actual discussion on the subject. Either way, using the wiki doesn't really contribute anything.

I understand if someone asks such as what combat level is a moss giant, or where are they located, but even a thread that asks the best place to train range from 70-95 is a legit discussion thread. People aren't just asking for places, so much as they're asking what and why people think their spots are the best, it's a competitive discussion (if you want to call it that), and it's another thing the wiki can't offer.

In the end, if you aren't going to contribute by posting an answer, then don't post. I really hate it when people post, Google it, or Wiki it, it's extremely annoying. Even if you think it's a stupid or common question, to someone else it might be a valuable bit of knowledge to know. If it's so easily found, why not just copy and paste the answer instead of simply linking them to a page where it "might" be found?

    I completely agree with you.

After all, the entire reason we have the RS2 General section is to assist people with questions & concerns. Directing them to another site not only makes them more inclined to check there first, but it also discourages them from asking questions on Sythe. We don't want that.

That would work fine. I actually was thinking about it, but that would take a lot of updating. Maybe we include sections and then just quote answers that we see inside rsgeneral that are well backed up, and put them in there?
To split up the work, I'd say we should have 2-3 people post first in the thread, and then edit it depending on which sections they do. For instance, person 1 does combat and quests, person 2 does skilling, person 3 does...erm.. you get it.
Farcast you could make the post and I'll go second, we could either find an epic runefag for third or use scammers or whoever? Doesn't matter to me.
    PM and MSN me.

Sounds like a good place to start; I'll make the thread tonight.
