Selective Service System

I received a mail about my registration, and just wondering who else from the U.S also registered for the selective services?

 

I got mine a few months back, I assumed everyone got them.

 

It's compulsory for everyone in the US illegal or not to register.
The cut off date is 26 years of age.

 

I got mine and registered and then received a new letter in the mail a couple months later.

 

I registered when I turned 18. I didn't know you could wait..

 

I registered right when I turned 18.

 

now-days every male who turns 18 and is a US citizen is automatically registered.
and they just mail you your selective service card.
You used to have to manually register, but not anymore.

I'm not sure if females are automatically registered, but I'm pretty sure they're not.

 

I got mine and threw it away as I was already in the military.

 

I had to register, in order to be eligible for FAFSA. Or Bright Futures, idk, one of the two.

 

Depends on the state. In NY as long as you have a drivers licence you are automatically registered I believe.

 

im not registered but i am enlisted so i suppose i dont have 2

 

Yeah, I registered to be eligible for my FAFSA. I think only when there's a War Draft is when they pull the list of the registered people on the SSS.

 

So any point in time from the age of 18+ onwards I may be drafted?
