Took my practice ASVAB

As the title say I took the practice ASVAB and scored a 85!

The Marine recruiter told me to expect to raise my score by 5-10 points because the practice is harder then the real ASVAB plus it will be on later when I learn more.


Which means I can virtually have any job I want in the Marines, and mainly every military branch, if I do end up joining.

Just was kind of happy so I'd thought I'd share.

 

My friend got a similar score and is now a mechanic in the Air Force. He loves it. Congrats man.

 

Congrats dude! That is pretty good. Keep taking all the practice tests you can online and study because I'm sure you know, the higher your score means better bonus's and MOS's
Do you know what branch and mos you want?

I went to a marine recruiter once and got a perfect score on his practice ASVAB. he wanted me so bad. he found my new cellphone number and called me a year later and tried to sign me up, it was creepy as fuck.

Arithmetic, Math, Vocabulary, Paragraph comprehension.. basic stuff the real test also tests you on Electrical/Mechanical Knowledge but they're different scores.

The Marines are the ones I'm talking to at the moment but Bootcamp is kind of what is keeping me back from fully saying yes I don't want to get all through it and fail on the Crucible.

So if the marines don't work out I'll most likely just join the Army easier BCT not afraid at all about failing that thing.

It most likely is going to end up going be falling under the Intelligence section.

or I wouldn't mind being a scout sniper either.

 

That's a fantastic score tbh, you can pretty much do any MOS you want depending on the scores of the various subsections. Go into intelligence or something (unless you lied to MEPS or some B/S)

 

join the air force. im in the army my twin brother is in the marines and have friends in every branch. take my word for it.. life is much better in the air force.

 

The practice test is easier, and doesn't have very many questions. Expect your score to lower.

 

I found the practice a lot more difficult actually.

 

Like the posts above me said the practice is usually harder for most people, the Marine recruiter told me this, my friends in the military have told me this, and people on Goarmy usually repeat this over and over.

I might check into the other branches.

 

I have never met somebody that joined the marines and failed to pass the crucible. I'm sure if that's really what you want to do, you can do it.

In my BCT company we had 11 out of 215 people quit during the first 5 weeks.

When my contract with the army is up I'm going Air Force EOD. The quality of living at every air force base ive been to is so much better than anywhere else.

It's really good that you are checking all the options you have and not rushing things. I wish I had that wisdom back in the day.

This. Got an 88 on the practice but only an 86 on the real one.

 

If that's true I should have received a 99 on the real test.
