The new trees look terrible..

It would take a lot of time to rework everything in that way. I like the simplicity of the old graphics and do agree that they clash horribly now. My opinion is more based on their effort to improve the game graphically. I think the trees are nice if it was solely for a high detail mode, but it would be better if everything else matched them instead of this mix up of old graphics and new graphics.

 

I can agree with that. They really, really do not work on low detail (which is what I always play on).

 

Usually I absolutely hate what Jagex does to Runescape; this is an exception. When I went to check out the trees, I was truely amazed at how wonderful they looked -- so much that I even took it to the RS Forum's Compliment section.

They are truely stunning. Drop dead georgeous.

(yeah they fuck up the botts for a few days, but I already got 99 wc).

I have a feeling most of you only dislike them because it's interfered with your yew-botting or because you absolutely hate Jagex and don't find them capable of doing anything worthwhile.

Try using better RS settings. I agree in your pic they look horrible. But when I went there today with maxed settings they looked incredible.

Besides, you're playing RS, why do you care about graphics?

 

I second that. Personally, they look a lot better than they did before. A lot more realistic/image itself is better.

Never played wow so i wouldnt know about wow trees lol.

WoW doesn't set the graphics standard at all, although these tree's look awful right now, maybe the gradual changes will make them integrate more. There's 1000x better graphics MMO-wise, EG: RIFT, Guild Wars2, even Guild Wars 1. WoW's graphics engine was designed to support lower-spec computers, the same with Runescape, and quite a few other MMO's.

RIFT and GW2 were both made years after WoW, and GW1 had horrible graphics.

 

I hate them too i hate all new graphics. I wish everything had stay to Snes graphics and rs 06-07 Graph. Tbh i think Wow is just a bad 3d like N64.

 

Looks better, but then again looks like WOW... I remeber when Jagex used to have their own thing going on was just them that had the graphics they did.. Now they want to copy WOW. But I believe I maybe mistaken Blizzard does own a good bit of Jagex.

Wow the trees look awesome. Never played WOW so I can't really compare the two. But they look a lot more realistic.

Honestly dont like them, they could've done a much better job imo.

 

The trees don't look that bad. Having played WoW before the graphics in this game don't even come close to competing with WoW. Even though I'm losing interest in both of these games I think this is RS's way of competing with their opponents. If they stayed the same sure some would stay, but other MMO's would continually update patch after patch with graphics, sounds, etc. This is just my opinion and I'm not looking to get into a debate over this because I don't agree or disagree just stating what I think.
