Why is it that just cause something happens that seems out of the ordinary they automatically assume it's fake and have to feel the need to comment so?

I think this is fake because:

It's not an automated response. Jagex is not known for their direct contact with their customers.

It is even more unlikely that they will personally reply to this because it doesn't involve money, and because it isn't anything near a standard question. If they don't answer the normal ones, why would they answer the absurd ones. They also normally play it safe and do nothing that could embarass them.

Mod Gunner also states there that the game's main audience are 'children from the age of ten'. Altho they only recently updated the chat filter etc., I don't think the game's goal audience ever were 10 year old children

 

Because it's highly unlikely a multi million dollar corporation would respond to such a silly email.

You just failed to realize one thing. Go back and check the date of that post. 2008. The changes they've been making towards making the game more Adult(Or at least mature) Orientated have been within the last 6 months or so.
