Post Count : A Defining Factor?

The pecking order is this:
Vouches > Ranks > Join date > Post count

Even if you have 50 vouches, no rank, March 2011 join date and 50 posts the chances are that people will go first, just because of your vouches.

Whereas, if you have 0 vouches, $10 donator rank, January 2010 join date and 700 posts, the likelihood of someone going first to you is quite low, because you have limited vouches.

I say just remove it. There's no doubt that it takes like, what, 5 mins to remove it from the skin? If they really wanted too, they could just make post count only viewable from someones profile. So people can still keep track of their post count, and not so many judges of trust is deemed off of it.

 

In my eyes post count means nothing, I only look at join date / vouches. Anyone can get a 1000 or 2000 post count, but not everyone can get 50+ vouches.

 

PC shows me how active people are on forums, nothing more.

 

PC is way less important than vouches. It's just saying how much people spend time stating their opinions.

PS. Post counts do not mean anything, post counts is one of the reasons people get scammed on Sythe, they say I have more post counts than you which makes new people go first since they think its something big leading to a scam by the "Person with more post counts". I don't think it should be removed, but I think people should get an infraction when they say I have more post counts than you, unless they have like 50+ Vouches or good posts.

 

If they have joined over a year ago and have like 100posts, I generally won't trade with them. Makes me think they just came back to sythe to scam. Which I'm usually correct when identifying those people.

 

Well i joined in february, have numerous vouches, and i like to post where i feel my opinion is needed. Some others joined in feb also, and have 1000+ posts. They dont mean anything, just how active you are

 

i personally think post count shouldnt count for much trust. as i see people with join date this month an somehow have over 500 posts in like 11 days. no offense but thats ridiculous. vouches and join date should be the judge here.

 

Well said, Post count dosent mean much only look for vouches when trading.
