Earning 6m RSGP an hour cooking..

This isn't a troll attempt whatsoever, but my own small opinion on money making methods in RuneScape.

Most methods being sold on this site are for 500k-2m RSGP an hour, which isn't bad if you are playing the game legitly. But in terms you are making around $.50 - $2 an hour for an hour of straight working. You can go mow the lawn for a mere $5 an hour, which is equivalent to 5m.

What You Are Losing By In-Game Money Making Methods:
-Valuable free time you can use to bot
-Valuable free time you can use to have a life
-Socializing

To put the icing on the cake, you can also bot non-buying skills while you are working at McDonalds or helping the old lady pull weeds down the street. Like what I do, I bot Mining while I am doing a job, usually at the LRC. This is earning me around 200k an hour ($.20) while I am at my work, I am earning around $8 (8m). After working for 5 hours, I come to find I've earned around 1m on RS and around 200k Mining experience. So from "Mining" I earned around 41m and 200k Mining experience. Not too bad I'd say.

In short, having a life can earn you more on RuneScape, a lot more. Don't waste your time using In-Game money making methods, as you are laboring yourself for an embarrassing $.50 an hour.

Stick to buying gold from your fellow trusted members at Sythe.

P.S: You don't have to spend all your hard-earned cash in the real world on RuneScape, I was just stating that you could and make more money then working yourself hard doing In-Game methods.

I never found it fun to merchant or to kill green dragons for hours on end.
Atleast working IRL will be funner and more sociable.

Where I live min. wage is $10+/hour and I make more than that so it wouldn't be remotely sensible for me to play legit just for money-making unless it's like 15m+/hour and the very few methods actually make that arent even remotely consistent.

 

no actually most people who buy money making methods are under the age of 18(or 16 depending what country)so there to young to work so they cant do this

 

The methods that are consistent, if you play legitly, are dwindling due to botting anyway, so you would have to lack even more sense to use the money making methods in-game.

I just never saw the point of doing an in-game method, especially like plank-running, which is no experience and $.50 an hour.

 

If you live in a town/city, you could always do simple jobs around the town such as mowing. And mowing alone could earn you $5+ an hour, which is 10x more than most money making methods in-game.

Not everyone makes money on RS to sell to other people. Some people want to raise their skills, get 99's, buy rares, etc. and this costs RSGP.

 

I don't really get the point of this thread. You're comparing doing a job in real life, to playing RuneScape cash making wise. Sorry for the spam, just like, pretty straight forward...

 

It's more like comparing time-wise to what you are wasting by using an in-game money making method.

Apples and apples, oranges and oranges. I play RS legitly to have fun. I don't consider it a monetary/time expense. Needless to say, I do waste a bit to much time on RS atm.
