Need Help SOON (Date Ideas ASAP)

I've been trying to come up with something to really impress my fiancee. She wants to be wow'd and all that, and everything I keep trying to do is falling apart, so yeah... I'm at a loss.

Anyways, I have a few options at my disposal, but not really much money to spend.

I was originally planning on taking her to see the movie Beastly (the real life beauty and the beast), and then we were going to go ice skating, and come home and I was gonna cook her dinner with wine and all that jazz.

Well, that is far too expensive (out of my budget). And I don't have the gift I wanted to give her while we were skating.

So I need some ideas. Dinner can still be done, so can the movie. But I feel that dinner and a movie isn't enough. I need something that will really make her feel special and not just like I'm half-assing it with shit I can always do.

We take lots of walks, we go lots of places, and we always spend time together... that's not the issue, the issue is showing her any pizazz. So ideas please!

 

Do you happen to have any parks in walking distance?

If so, your going to need a buddy to help you.

Set up a nice picnic in the park, have your friend look after it while you and your love stroll along holding hands.

When you near your destination, proclaim your love to her, tell her what it is about her that makes you want her by your side for the rest of your life.

Try to be romantic as possible, even get a little cheesy if it comes down to it. If she likes fruits, hand feed her....Just be a lovey-dovey movie based fiancee for the night....

1.) Dude just watch a movie at your house with the lights down low. Some sexy ass music I'm talkin bout slow grinding shit. Let your woman know you aren't playin around. Show her who's boss. Then make her dinner with some wine etc. then take her to bed

 

You don't have to try that hard, just tell her that you love her, take her out to dinner, in any place, make it cute.

 

Yea, I've been with my girlfriend for over 4 years now, were engaged as well and it does get difficult because as men we can be happy doing normal stuff with our woman, we don't need special stuff all the time but they strive on it. They love to tell there other girlfriends what their man did for them as a competition, so if they win, you win, LOL.

IDEAS: here are a few things I've done over the years to score some brownie points with my girl, don't know if yours would fall for this sort of stuff, but it's worth a shot I guess.

1. Take her dancing
It doesn't really matter if your good or not, just play along and most dancing places are pretty cheap. I took my girlfriend swingdancing at a nearby place that hosts a little swing event every friday night. It was very cheap (like $5 a person for admission) and it was really fun, she enjoyed herself and your most likely not going to know anyone there anyways so you can make a fool of yourself, (if its swingdancing you probobly will) but girls love stuff like that.

2. blindfolded putt putt
Ok this sounds crazy but I was desperate one time to think of something really cheap (im currently going through college so money is tight), so I bought a blindfold and took her putt-putting. Every other hole we switched who was wearing the blindfold so first the non-blinded person would play the hole like normal, then the other person would put on the blindfold and the nonblinded person would guide lead them to there ball, direct there next putt and then ect...til they got it in the hole. Then you switch on the next hole so it works out that each of you two will be blinded on 9 holes (if you play 18) and so your scores will still be comparible. You will get looked at wierd doing this and it is kind of cheesy but I think my girlfriend really enjoyed it and liked that i would do something corny like that for her in public.

3. Musical Dinner
Ok so if you don't want to fit a third thing into your night and just want to spruce up the dinner section of your evening, do this. You simply pick 3 or 4 resturaunts that you both like. You go to the first one and order an appetizer only, something that you could only get at that resturant. Then you pay and go to the next place and get your main course, again try to pick something original to this location so it will feel more exotic. Finally, if your still hungry you can go to a third place for desert. The 4th could be drinks if you wanted to include them in your night, and If you want to keep money tight, suggest water at each location so that you can experience the food more
This is really fun, you end up paying about the same as a normal meal, you get at least 3 different atmospheres to dine in in one night, you get to taste a multitude of different genres of food all in one exotic meal, again girls love this kind of stuff and it costs you the same as a whole dinner at one location.

If I think of more I will let you know, hope I didn't leave too big of a wall of txt for you to read but I (and countless other men) have been in your shoes, the shoes of a man who has to show off to his significant other on a budget without letting them know there is a budget involved. A very nice and detailed post! I appreciate all the ideas man, and can see us enjoying them indeed. I can usually get away with us going out only once a month or so, but it gets so freaking expensive when I just like sitting at home, eating, and watching tv... but its never enough .

Sometimes snuggling in the couch is two times better than the fancy meal, I guess it really depends on what type of person your fiancée is (congrats btw!), if impressing her is really important to you maybe that's why most of your plans have been falling apart, be yourself and be confident that whatever you do should be good enough for your fiancée because why else would she want to be with you?

Ideas:
1. Try the zoo! Chances are you haven't been to a zoo ever since you were a child and I'm certain both of you will have a blast there. I mean, who doesn't like animals?

2. Stroll through the park/picnic in the park. Yes pretty common suggestion but that's because it's an effective one! Schedule before hand and check the weather before you take her out and it will definitely be romantic.

3. Candle light dinner at your place. Cook a meal for your wife to be, if you don't know how to cook then ask a friend or family member to help you out it's the effort that will woo your partner. Then after a movie with a mug of hot chocolate?

It's always good to try something different and just be yourself! The hard part of asking her out, dating then asking to marry her was hard part and you should really concentrate on both having fun but yea I'm guessing the more ideas you got the better.
