Didn't know that. It does show honesty among the admins that this has never happened...

Although I doubt Tyro was questioning the value of Finn, I still agree completely with the topic. Finn is truly one of the most inspiring, eloquent, and contributing member of any forum, ever.

Thanks for making this thread. Finn seems to always get hate and under appreciated...he's rarely acknowledged for his enormous contributions to Sythe. He really is an asset, and an extremely friendly person from what I've seen in the IRC.

I have found it surprisingly easy to take an uncharacteristically observant position over the events of the past week, but I'd like to express profound gratitude to those that seek out the beautiful sunrise beyond cloudy and depressing ambivalence. It brings me joy to know that the effort I have put into this site has not went unnoticed. Having been primarily observant for a week or so, my skin crawls. I am neither quiet nor inoffensive; not a bystander but involved deeply in all endeavours I undertake. This is a predicate of my personhood and is something that cannot and will not change; it is integral to who I am, and I ask that this be respected. I will never be the staff member in the background whose tacit acceptance of corruption goes unnoticed. I always have and always will be at the forefront of the struggle. My life has been deeply characterised by struggle: the struggle to identify myself and understand who I am, transcending the prejudice and hatred that is native to our tragic kingdom. If I am passionate, it is because of my resolve to become beautifully human. If I am strong, it is because the cruelty of this world has made me so. If I am opinionated, it is because I know only too well the consequences of accepting prejudice. If you have no use for someone of my character here, by all means demote me. I remain young, but I am neither naive nor a liar; the aforementioned characteristics are ones integral to who I happily am. They will never change.

All of the things that we want eachother to be, we never will be. And that is wonderful - this is you, and this is me. We are free to be.

. If you seek to target him for some of the things he is currently being accused of, please be sure to aim at me, as well the entire rest of the staff and every member on the site.

    Finn is an asset

This thread truly is eye-opening to me. I'll admit, I was at first biased about this whole situation and now I see what a great person Finn is. It seems like he attempts to do his best and puts forth nothing but that. I believe I was, at first, against Finn because of Tyro's thread. However, now I see that Finn indeed is an asset to the community here at Sythe. Regardless I would enjoy seeing an attitude adjustment. It's completely understandable that when people insult you, you retaliate. It is human nature to do so, I do not blame you. Though as stated by R2Pleasant, he needs to demonstrate professionalism in a better manner.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this... I love how this thread isn't getting anywhere close to the recognition as the thread(s) against Finn. Shows a lot about the community here.

Did anyone ever question that Finn hasn't been doing a great job? Wasn't tyro just bringing back the issues from a couple of years ago?

Completely agree, I find it humorous that anyone would claim he's corrupt due to small slip-ups.

    Finn is an asset

Going to go ahead and post here, because I feel like I should state my position given the fact that my situation was posted on Tyro's thread as evidence against Finn.

Nate summed it up well. There are times when Finn's actions could have been considered out of line, but a lot can also be said about other admins - Including Tyro himself. I liked Tyro, I still like Tyro; but the matter of the fact is at one point or another everyone acts out of line. Not to say I agree fully with my recent ban, nor will I ever. But to see that I was given a second chance after a review has to show for something.

In regards to Finn, though, there is no doubt in my mind that he is an asset. Even if he weren't an administrator, his overall attitude towards the community's well-being is undeniable. Some of the things posted on Tyro's thread should definitely be taken into consideration, but I don't think terminating Finn's position would solve anything.

I'd also like to point out that Finn isn't really one to hold a grudge on anyone. A lot of people may know that we had our differences, and there was a time when Finn absolutely despised me. However, today after seeking help - Finn was the first and only one to reply and he talked me through a few personal issues. I didn't request his help, I didn't even hint it. He literally just said "I'll help" and proceeded to talk to me on MSN.

To say someone is incapable of change is wrong.

    Very well written up.

If Finn wanted to cause damage to this blackmarket, he could of easily. He had access to all our accounts through the admin panel and he did not scam; which makes me trust Finn. I do not know why some of you are treating him harshly..

In addition to the things that Nate has quoted on the first post, I'd like to point out that Finn is beautiful. I would go as far as to say that he is the looks of this forum. :3

I'm fine with Finn as Admin, I don't really mind. As I rarely trade on here, and when I do, I'm safe as a bank.
But as for the reports made in the old thread, I'm not sure, because I don't keep up with random events like such listed.
But I can say I have seen him do good, and bad.
But the bad was only with Pardons/Ban appeals.
    Good > Bad.

Also, I don't understand how New members can try and understand this whole event. The accusations against Finn were from around when I started, and I don't even remember half of them. How can people that joined in 2011(without being a vader) Understand the logic between these posts, enough to make a amplified statement.
I'm not accusing or flaming, I just don't understand :/

Disagree overall, yes he's good. But he's also done bad. Alot of things hes done others would simply be banned for. He also likes to act like he's superior to others

I feel that he is being scrutinized for every little thing he does, I suppose it comes with the whole "Admin territory" and that us as the public jump on every slip up they make. It's clear that Finn's personality often clashes with other people's on here but aside from that and a few things he has done in the past (Things that have been pardoned) he has been extremely helpful and an asset. If Finn can maybe tone down his feelings a little i'm sure all this will be forgotten about :)

Honestly, thank you for taking the time to write this.
People like Finn really don't get appreciated for the time and effort they put in to help people on a dialy basis, taking time out of their day to please others.

    Kudos to Plznate and Finn.
