Fire cape scammers ect.

Ok so a few people have told me how they have been scammed by a person offering to do fight caves for them " Fire cape service" , Well to be honest i think i have found a really easy way how to let the person do the fight cave for you while you monitor the person on your own computer.

logmein allows the person to controll your computer. So there is no need to be handing over your password when the person can do it all infront of you without knowing any of your account details , Maybe apart from your username lol cause he would be logged on your account.



then you grab all the stuff send the person the logmein link, (while your account is logged on )

What if he trades my stuff over or trys dropping it?
There is a emergency button that will shut down the program kicking him off your account, and you will have FULL view on what he is doing on your account so if you see him heading to your bank (witch he should not be doing seeing how you have alreaedy put the needed supplies in the bag) than you kick him.



I dont like the fact someone i do not know is on my computer controlling it, He could go down my private stuff
Thats why YOU are monitoring him and you can ask him to put runescape on "Full screen" So then all attention is to runescape

This could also help people with questing service aswell


Then he can controll your account, And you can moniotor him, If you see him doing anythink silly , There is a emergancy STOP button that cuts the person off , =)

Huh, teamviewer? Im not sure what that is but i have used this before but not on runescape but to help a friend with photoshop problems and it ran smooth, it depends on the persons net =)

 

Well i think a person that wants to run a good fire cape service should have good internet not just to support "Logmein" but to support them self in fight caves incase they lagg out =)

 

So basically you'll be paying someone to watch them quest for you...

 

Personally, my internet is shit so if I had to use another program while in the caves, I'd be screwed. If anyone I was doing a firecape for required me to use these additional programs, I would decline that order. Both of those increase lag, resulting in a higher chance of a dc in the fight caves.

Also, If you don't trust the person, simple. Don't use them.
There are plenty of legitimate firecapers' now, so finding one shouldn't be an issue.

 

Well the whole point of you asking them to do the quest for you is because you cant do it, So you ask someone to do it for you without getting scammed, But if you can do it and your just lazy i wouldnt even bother, But mainly its for fire capes it was like just another suggestion if people are having trouble with a quest they could get some help =)

 

This is just the same as TeamViewer? They can do harm, maybe even worse harm, like infecting your computer

 

How is this a suggestion? Many firecapers/questers already offer this.

And you can't force people to do this. Then this should be enforced in powerleveling, gold trades, account trades, etc, aswell.

 

I understand what you are saying, But i aint saying lets change the whole system so to do a fire cape you must use logmein, Its for people that want to start off a service but people wont allow them because of things like not enough vouches or new to sythe.

Im not trying to offend legit fire capers im saying people that wanna proof themself of being able to do it could do it this way if you know what im saying =)

He is suggesting, and informing people of a method that can be used to circumvent the chance of scamming occurring.

If you paid attention in English, specifically comprehension you'd gather that.

He just told us about Logmein...

That's not a suggestion.

He could have written "I want a sticky informing traders about the advantage of logmein/teamviewer"

or "I want a rule added that all firecapes must be done with Teamviewer" ...

 

If it's anything like team viewer, then you shouldn't use it unless you want to be hacked.

 

Could easily be hacked via Team Viewer. Easy solution get someone to do your Firecape who is trusted, or if you want to give a new caper a chance give a Free Trusted Middleman to hold onto the money and don't let your character wear as expensive gear.

 

He wants us to use Logmein because it shows the user's computer * so on*, I believe that's the "Suggesting" part.

He's suggesting that we use Logimein for fire cape services as newcomers are not trusted enough to just login our accounts without us watching them do it through a program or some sort.
