I guess Win Dixie stores (grocery store, supermarket) did this on 63,000 of their employees and it turned into a giant scandal.

 

You didnt know about this haha? Of course they have insurance for this kind of thing, companies rely on their employees. Its beneficial to other employees (particuarly in small business) as if a key staff member dies suddenly the business won't have to shut down.

As for the name I think its pretty funny haha xD

How can you make this judgement? You don't know how much the cover is for. This type of insurance isn't about profit its about making sure the business isnt forced to shut down while their looking for a replacement (which if its a key position can be difficult)

Yeah I think I saw this in a documentary a while back, maybe in one of Michael Moore's... it's pretty sad but what can be done...

 

Almost anything can be insured now a days... Football stars insure their legs, companies insuring their employees.
Soon people will be insuring their hair, then suing their hairdressers for cutting it.

they want you to die. that is what is bad. you are, in most cases, worth more to them dead than alive.

 

No, they do not want you to die. They want to protect their business in the eventuality that a key worker dies. The payouts from this type of insurance are not as high as you are making them out to be. You hear about people burning down their house or killing their spouse (rhyme bitches) to clain insurance but never empolyer killing employee, because the payouts are quite simply not all that much.
