The Jagex Coin (JCoin)?

I was recently upgrading my accounts to member status when I noticed a peculiar symbol in the upper-right corner of the screen. It was labeled "Jcoin".
I haven't seen it before and the layout to the upgrade page seems to be new (I just renewed last month and it didn't look like this).

I guess my question is has this always been there?

Could this mean, based of picture 1, that in the future they will be offering new things to purchase like in-game gold? Me thinks so.

It's for War of Legends, or whatever that game is called.(go to jagex.com and you'll see)

 

doubt they'll ever offer RuneScape items this way.
especially because there so anal about RWT.

 

It's because Jagex have many games now, it is done to make it simply, not like Funorb+RuneScape+War of Legends membership package, you buy the credits and spend them wherever you want.

 

If you have been aware of the main page like I always do, just a few days ago, they had suspended membership extensions, and the reason was that they were implementing these new Jcoins stuff.

And no. They won't sell gold. I won't expect that when they are banning RWTers and all that. Won't they be so called "RWT" themselves if they do?

 

What are JCoins?

 

They will never sell gold. The entire game will lose any integrity it has if they do, and I'm sure they know that. White knights (do gooders) will quit because they don't want to be here if they're going to allow RWT. GP will be worthless, they would essentially just be spawning GP every time a person buys GP.

If you actually think about it, it makes no sense. The game will literally die if they started doing that.

I've never played WoL but I highly doubt it gives a considerable/comparable advantage over others as it would if you bought RSGP. I stand by my original statement that they'll never sell RSGP/items/stats/characters.

RuneScape would die if Jagex sold Gold for cash, economy would be even more in shit likes its becoming now, save it to Sythe to handle Real world trading lol.

 

Jagex might be sellouts, but I doubt they would ruin Runescape completely by selling gold themselves.

 

If Jagex were to release the sale of gold, you will also see the creation of new huge money drop skills/minigames to remove the new gp.
