How much of staking is Luck?

I've been recently trying to figure out how much luck is involved in certain kinds of stakes. For example, if a character with the stats of 80/80/80 boxes a character that is 70/60/90 is their any luck involved or is it all stats? I have been cleaned numerous times with different builds and am starting to think staking involves luck more than planned out stats. Interested to hear what the sythe community thinks about staking

 

well 80/80/80 would obv rape 70/60/90, 80+80+80 is 240 while 70+60+90=220

 

30% stats 70% luck i have a maxed pure that will clean 80+ def sumtimes but other times i wont hit a single thing i have many stakers and that is my givin assumption the only way u can beat that precentage is by cheating re:dung ring tiers, sc daggers, dung pots, sc pots, dung weps(dont ask).

i mean stats do have a part to do with it but i have a low lvl rapier pure and i can get maxed mains to whip stake me 5x and i win sumtimes it happens its just random

 

For rapier, dds, and really any kind of stake besides boxing, first hit plays a pretty big part of it. If you're boxing though, with similar stats its obviously 50/50, maybe 48/52 or 49/51 depending on who gets the first hit, but its not really a huge deal on boxes.

Someone posted something in the Free Guides section explaining Martingale's Theory for gambling, with patience/a decent bank, its as close to guaranteed profit as its gonna get.

 

pretty much no matter how it goes if u can get em to keep doubling you if u loose and go 50% over if u win its WIN/WIN for u

 

staked around at duels with him a lil bit ago wasnt too bad verified stats are nothing though

 

boxing is about 30%stats 70% luck....
"whip" staking is like 50% having a rapier, and 50% luck (lol)

armor staking with the same exact gear on (example: corrupt pures) is just the same as boxing.

 

at the end of the day it all works on percentages and it just depends wether or not you get lucky on the high or lower stakes. i recon if u were 99 99 99 and always staked 99 99 99 the same ammount ud break about even...

 

I see it this way, when it's a no armor 1 weapon/boxing fight I think it's pretty well luck. I mean, it doesn't matter if your a 138 fighting a 120, in such situations dumb stuff can happen. I once lost a dclaw stake to a lvl 90 (I was using a 138 account) because I couldn't hit.

Now if it's a tribrid fight where gear is being used I believe it has a lot more to do with skill than it does luck.

u could have the better stats but they still manage to beat u..

 

its completely random to tell you the truth
just go with the flow , no shi sometimes you just feel a winning roll
alot of instinct also

stats have everything to do with this also wich is why it is best to maxed stake haha

 

Staking is majority luck. Good stats are definately a positive though

It depends on which kind of staking.
It depends on stats, attack timing, attack styles, stats (ofc) weapon stats, different types of resistance, effectiveness, and luck.

Boxing is 100% luck, no doubt.

Luck comes into play when you get "runescape'd"
When your ags spec hits a 0 and he maxes with claws, you just got runescape'd. It just happens :/

 

I'd say its more luck then skill but i've been trough insane comebacks from the people i've staked against so style switching has role there for sure.

 

heres something i have learned, it's a decent staking method, that most people sell.

Stake 2m over and over, untill you loose 3 times in a row, once you loose 3 tiems, start staking 4m, and double it everytime you loose 3 times in a row, if you win 3times in a row, it's time to take a break.
