That's the law? If you break that you will be punished. It's to stop people attacking other faith's.

If you follow the law you will be treated with a lot of respect.

I don't see where this respect comes in... Sure, it's their religion... but everyone posses a rational faculty and no one should be denied it. America does fine having multiple religions, telling people they'll be killed for disagreeing is not exactly 'friendly' >.>.

It doesn't say you will be killed for disagreeing. You can disagree as long as it doesnt involve :

-damaging or defiling a place of worship or a sacred object
    -outraging religious feelings
    -defiling the Quran
    -defaming the prophet Muhammad

I don't know man, that law seems self contradicting. Where I come from we call this a Double Standard.

Don't get me wrong, My best friend is muslim and I love her dearly. But I consider myself "un-religious" and I don't take sides in religious debates; but I am more than eager to point out fallacies.

"An accusation is sometimes the prelude to vigilantism and rioting."

Really? rioting over an accusation, I've read both the bible and the quaran and I don't see how that follows muslim beliefs.

    *shakes head*

I respect all faiths, but I have nothing but malice and contempt for people who claim to believe something, demand other people respect it (which I will gladly). I do not however, have any tolerance for hypocrisy. That's in my eyes, stooping too low.

I understand this is a custom of the land, but last time I read the quaran I read many times for example: Wemon are the other half of a man, they must be treated as such. And it is damned near a sin for a woman to not seek an education. etc etc.

I'm not attempting to belittle your faith, I see alot of hypocrisy between what you say, and do.

I believe tolerance should only be given to religious people who actively practice what they claim to uphold as their beliefs, and not to people who use it as a scape goat to act retarded.

Just how 'tolerant' should we be?

    So basically:

If your a woman, and you unknowingly defy one of those laws then you could very well be executed.
If your a man, well it's not as bad as you have full rights, you'll probably get sent to jail right?

The fact is that Muslims come into my country, unwilling to assimilate, enforcing their cultures onto mine and when we go to their country, if we enforce our own or have a vagina then we will get treated poorly.

I dont care much for Islam, the world would be better off without it. Nuff said. Nothing in Islam has ever lead to any positive contributions to society, other than to regress society backwards. I am a tolerant brown guy, but I cannot tolerate the ignorance and idiocy shown by many followers of the Muslim faith.

So your saying Pakistan has equal rights for both man and woman, and both genders are treated equally.

You are exceptionally mis informed and uneducated.

Which leads to my original point, we go to your country and you condemn our Women, and force us to abide by your rules. You come to our country, and run amok wanting to change laws, and don't bother trying to assimilate to our culture.

There's radical people in pretty much every dominion. If we look back in history, there have been plenty of radical Atheists that have done mass murders.

Recently speaking, there was a radical Christian that wanted to do a "burn quran day".

Point is, you can't just pin-point one faith on a matter that is pretty much widespread to all faiths.

Shouldn't call others uneducated/misinformed, thats ignorance. Also, I wouldn't take source from Answering-Islam, their highly biased/hypocritical.

Copy and paste from 10 seconds googling on someone who said something similar to you -

I'm sure there's more to it, since they wouldn't teach this in schools.

In the HRW site it says:
They make it sound like 8 rapes every 24 hours is a lot.
However if you look in the united states there were 191,670 victims of rape in 2005. Which is 525 Rapes a day.

Rape has nothing to do with womens equal rights.

The Koran states that Women have half the rights as Men.

You still don't dispute the fact that women have less rights than men.

Pakistan being a presumably Islamic state, the Koran does state that Women have less rights than Men, and if I'm not wrong it is half the rights.

I don't know much about that, might research it.

But logically speaking, it doesn't make sense that in western countries like UK and the USA, Islams the fastest growing religion (from conversion) and the majority of them are women. (feel free to ask for source).

Not sure, doesn't add up mate. Why would women who have "more rights" go into a religion that gives them "less rights".

    http://www.ghazali.net/book1/chapter_3.htm

Also, don't think you can blame Islam on Pakistan's state. There's alot of "honor killings" in that country, and other unfortunate occurrences, which I don't think have anything to with religion.

I know it doesn't add up, which logically speaking leaves few conclusions, one being brain washing.

Didn't know whether or not it was an Islamic state or Muslim.
Even still while it may be classified as a Muslim state, doesn't mean that Islamic guidelines aren't enforced.

Well, I don't want to get into that, it's ignorant to say "everyone's brainwashed", maybe there's something others aren't understanding.

This has gone off topic, it was about a "friendship" verse from the Quran, to women's rights now...

Most of the honor killing in Pakistan are in the tribal areas where the people have a different way of life.

    And about womens rights.

It is said that four out of every five Western converts to Islam are women.

And here's a list of rights that women have in islam.
    http://www.themodernreligion.com/women/w_rights_summary.htm

You have to understand all these rules about rights were made 1400 years ago. When women very little rights.
