Grand Exchange Questions

So say this.

Person A: Puts in an offer of 20gp for an item
Person B: Puts in an offer of 100gp for the same item
Person C: Sells the item in G.E for 20gp.

Which person will get it?
Does what time you put your offer in effect it all?

 

As far as I'm aware, person A would get it.

 

Yes, if three people put in offer for an item at the same price, the person that put in their offer first would get the item.

 

Its only 2 people that offered, the third person sold.

So even if you offer more than person A, he will still get it because he offered first?

 

I thought the person who bought for 100 would get it... And the person selling would get 100gp even though they sold it for 20.

 

Which ever put in there offer first.. Although if person B put in his offer first, he would still get it, he would just get 80 GP back.

I think this is how the GE functions

Scenario 1: Limited Stock on GE
-Buyer A buys for 30 gp
-Buyer B buys for 50 gp
-Seller sells for 40 gp.
Buyer B would get the item
Seller would get an addition 10 gp

Scenario 2: Overstock of GE
-Seller A sells for 30 gp.
-Seller B sells for 50 gp.
-Buyer buys for 30, saving 20 gp
Seller A would sell the item

Note: If two people place the same offer; GE creates a priority list. The first buyer would get the items while the second buyer has to wait until the first buyer's limit is reached or his order is done

 

Your first scenario doesn't answer my question because you put the seller sells the item for more than player A offered.

 

i'm pretty sure its the guy that puts it first but i tend to think its sometimes the guy that pays the more

 

I've always thought it was the highest offer gets the item. I always put offers in for items for a reasonable amount and if they don't buy I'll put in a larger offer and it often buys for the amount of my first offer.

 

The 100gp offer will get the item.

20gp won't get it until there are no higher offers.

 

Buyer who pays more would get it if the buyer who paid less didn't get it before hand.
