why registered email can be changed so easy?

hi everyone, this is kevin, Jevon is my roommate, and his sythe acc "jevon001" got hacked yesteday, he was trying to recover his acc when he found his account got hacked, but he can't, cuz the hacker changed his email as well.
So several hours later, i asked Giddy to temp banned his acc for security reasons (can't find any mods online when he found his acc got hacked), ppl still got hacked around 100M during this time, we gonna repay victims though.
I was wondering why registered email can be changed without the original email, since it's a very important/efficient way to recover acc?
so the current situation here is once ppl's sythe acc got hacked, obviously the hacker will change the email as well, then we can't take our acc back in time! we can only take a look at the hacker log on our acc and can do nothing about it
at the end, i hope jevon can get his acc back soon

 

You do need the original email. I bet the hacker also got access to the email, thus making it able to change the email.

It's not possible to change the email without verifying the change from the original email.

 

Yeah; it's most likely his email that was hacked, which was then used to hack the Sythe account.

 

Make sure his computer is clean, as this will happen again if the Virus is not dealt with. Also, make sure you don't plug anything into his computer.

Obviously you probably knew this, but It's better safe than sorry.

 

Unlucky man yeah its not as easy as people think you need orginal email and also you need to know what it is so I'm guessing they had access to that as well.
